I’m headed out to mow... it’s as dry as it’s gonna get. :~)
Your nearest one is in Boise.
On the other hand, you could visit an Old Spaghetti Factory on my behalf...
Department of Conservation has them here to borrow...for free. We finally bought one because we found we needed it too many times.

It was a brief, but lovely time had by all.
We had a nice dinner and a nice chat. Pictures will have to wait a bit. My camera battery died, so I’m not sure exactly what I got. It’s charging now.
Suzi is gonna try to upload the pictures from her camera a bit later.
Drive safe y’all.
Glad you had a successful mootage - seconding Corin,
ya’ll drive careful like, y’heah.
Hurrah! Looking forward to pictures!
Hey there - haven’t seen you in a while! How are things going?
Great moot pics!
Heh, she looks like she’s having fun!
Mini moots are great.
Good pictures!
I like the one with you and Suzi. ;-)
I’m glad you were able to meet up!
Hey - question for you.
I have an old laptop. I think it has Win 98 on it. It still works, I think it has a dial-up modem in it.
Could it be set up as an emergency computer we could use as our ‘storm computer’? ie a working browser with some kind of minimal free virus checker on it?
Would it be something you could look at and clean up to use? I’m thinking with your help I could get rid of a lot of the unnecessary frap that’s on it, strip it down, and put some dial up access numbers we can use in an easy to find file on the desktop.
I can take a look at it, sure! I’ll have to poke around a bit for a free virus checker...I think AVG is still good, but I’m not positive.
The one big catch would be battery life...but for real storms, I guess you’d have the generator anyhow, no?
Right. I don’t know how good the battery is, but we’d have the generator. Hooking up our real computers to the generator is both a bigger hassle (more power needed) and a little risky isn’t it?... I mean, the power output on the generator may be a little variable, and that in itself is not good with computers, isn’t it? The laptop, we wouldn’t care so much.
Yeah, I wouldn’t hook up a regular computer to a generator - would be a bad idea. But considering the laptops have that power adapter, it *should* mean the power that actually gets to the system is more stable, I think.
Well maybe this weekend we can take a look at it. :~)
Sheesh, I’ve had quite a morning.
You sure have... Take it easy out there today!
We’re here with you, 2J. Take care.
