Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
We’re watching “The After Hours” which isn’t as badly redone as “Night of the Meek” was. The mannequins are grainy enough to make me happy. ;)
I like the hair. ;)
Heh....a can of hairspray with every do.
So I fixed collards, black-eye peas, and ham. to Brother’s house for New Year’s. The nephewz cleaned out the collards and peas. Go figure.
LSA fixed rock cornish game hens and wildrice, excellent.
Folding money and coins - collards and black eyed peas. Or so we told.
Twilight Zone - that was a great series. I could watch them again anytime.
...with vitamins and fiber too!
I didn't get to see one of my favorite episodes this year ("The Midnight Sun") but I did get to see "Time Enough at Last", "What You Need", and a bunch of other eps that I hadn't seen before.
And that fiber and the vitamins makes it all the better.
Gremlin.
Didn’t Starfleet do a background check on him before they admitted him into the Academy?
What Ramius and 300winmag said was right on. My guess is that it’s more than likely a fan bearing. Trouble is figuring out which one. I usually use the twist tie / paperclip trick to try stopping one and see if the sound stops, though I admit it makes me nervous every time...
Happy New Year everyone! Busy day for me: I picked up that free paint, I visited brother / sister-in-law and nieces, and saw another one of the Met Opera broadcasts. And went to church. And the grocery.
I think my main resolution for the year (beside the usual ones) is “A place for everything and everything in its place.” And anything I can’t find a place for should go to Goodwill or some such thing.
We’ll see how successful I am at living it. :-\
We watched a couple of those. Rod Serling was a little bent; brilliant, but bent.
That could well be the explanation. It was too crisp and fluid - like the Brit shows filmed on Beta look in comparison to our own shows.
I love "Time Enough at Last" too! My favoritest, though, isn't TZ, but should be. It was Amazing Stories' "The Doll" - the one where a dollmaker makes dolls that look like real people. He plays matchmaker by selling people the dolls of their true loves... and then the people meet in a true Ah-ha! TZ moment.
