The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...

Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

If you planned a wedding or something in June we could all come.

But I’d need to bring a sweater...

So Swarovski makes the glass for gunscopes, and they make gorgeous crystal beads? Who knew?

Swarovski makes sparkly trinkets? Who knew? I always have known them as makers of high end binoculars, spotting scopes, and rifle scopes. They make the whole assembly, not just the glass.

For your reading pleasure, this magazine may be what you have been looking for.

Sorry, I guess I'm not a Southern gentleman hunter and chef. I'm not even a northern John Kerry "gentleman hunter". I've never had the urge to say, "where do I get one of them thar huntin' licenses".

In today's world, my idea of a fine shotgun is something like this:

I love fine walnut and engraving with gold inlays, but that's pretty much affordable only to liberal lawyers.

Okay, no Southern Gentleman would say it like that.

I'm just sayin' is all...

A most excellent choice. We used to have a couple like that. Seems to be the ‘light fixture of choice by electrians everywhere’. And the one most likely to be replaced during remodeling. LSA

I’ve used Swarovski crystals for making jewelry for years. They are just beautiful.
