The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...
Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Morning!
We’re taking Homer in to the vet this morning. We need a different plan on his skin.

Are you supposed to refer to yourself as the better half?

Ah, best to take him today. 'Cause if you took him tomorrow that's what you'd be doing all year.
Whatever happens on New Year's Day sets the pattern for the rest of the year.

Dang... there’s a lot of people who spend New Year’s Day with a headache.
I’m thinking I’m going to do my best to stay up, and maybe be prepared for some fireworks. Hard to predict.

The mild herbal stuff. Better than nothing. I may go ask all the neighbors today, talk over what their plans are, the ones that have been noisy in the past.
To: HairOfTheDog
mmmmm...herbal...oh wait, you meant for the ponies...

I wish it was that good ;~) I suspect it isn’t.

I’d bake brownies...just in case. ;-)

Well, you made it a LOT farther that I could have; glad to hear you are planning to finish (the Movie and the Cleaning). SIP.
To: Corin Stormhands
I’d have to try to find the ingredients somewhere... Maybe the fireworks neighbors... ;~)
Today’s lead story on our local news: “Today is the last day you can legally text-message behind the wheel”.

Yeah, ‘cept now I’m going to have to have orcs competing with the sound of Luke’s Wii in the background.

I’ll have Not Valerie call you. She’s good at comin’ up with recipes fer what’s in the house. Christmas day she realized she fergot to put coconut on the list she sent with me to thegrocerystore. So we had orange pound cake instead.

Someone keeps asking for it (as 420) on Craigslist and having their posts removed.
I’m thinking perhaps they aren’t very bright.
