Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
2JRN sounds really fine...
well ain't that special...
:-)
I passed my telemetry class...made a 92 on the test. (That’s cardiac rhythm strip reading.)
It clears the way for me to become ACLS certified.

My mentor told me she’s amazed at how well I’m doing. Said she can’t believe I’ve been away for as long as I have.
I’m tired. But content. We did Christmas this year without charging a single thing.
Hey...you are always in my thoughts...always. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you and pray for you and the family.
I’m suh proud of you... you and your family have been on my mind as well...
Thanks for the prayers...
It’s great to hear how well things are going for you and your family. Thegirl says to tell you she wants to be a nurse.
We never charge anything we can’t pay for, and expected this Christmas to be a little on the light side. We don’t make a big deal out of the present thing usually anyway. Well, the gal who oversees the place we are staying at, had her church buy stuff for our kids. We came “home” one day, to a room full of gifts. It was amazing...still chokes me up. We came back here and thegirlsfromg’nadsphysicaltherapy had pitched in and adopted our family as well...again amazing. We have been overwhelmed and humbled. Thegirl got money towards an ipod, and theboys got all their wrestling gear. My children have never seen the likes of it all, and will never forget the kindness shown to them. A time of hardship was made easier for my children because of the kindness of strangers and friends.
Anyway, it was a nice Christmas. We are looking forward to the 18th of January, when g’nad will be done. Thank you so much for your prayers...it means a lot.

We just had some rain go north of us....they’re hoping for more precip on Sunday.
I fly back on Wednesday.
FWIW - Wednesday shows partly sunny, low 30’s. The car will probably be naturally thawed out by then. so there is that..
Yup, we think so, glad you concur. :-)
Sometimes the ‘relaxing part’ will sneak up you, usually when you least expect it.
We’ve got a Blackberry charger cord here we found in the guest room... you been missing that?
What’s your ride home situation? Have a ride? ecurbh can come get you on his way home but I think he needs to be told where to go :~)
I think I *can* have a ride if need be. Let me check again.
And it looks like I'll be here at least through Monday morning. The internist came in last night and told me that the EchoCardiogram showed that I had diminished heart capacity; about 25% of normal. So I ended up having to have a Heart catheterization in addition to the two tests that never transpired yesterday.
I had fasted yesterday thinking that they were going to do the zapper, and they came to get me at 10:30. But a nurse came down the hall saying the test was delayed because of a problem with the machine. That was fine. A problem with the machine that was going to zap my heart didn't give me a lot of confidence; I certainly didn't want to 'ride the lightning' if anything went wrong. ;o) Turns out it wasn't the zapper, but the esophageal probe. So about 4pm yesterday, I reminded the nurse that I hadn't had anything to eat, and that I'd take the North end of a South bound mule about that time. She made me some toast and jam, and brought me some cereal. Best food I ever had!
I had to fast this morning, too, but they came to get me at 10:30 to start the testing. They did all three in succession, and I was back in my room by 2:30. Thankfully, the probe and the heart catheterization showed that the heart capacity is better than they thought. It's more like 55%, so things are not as worrying as they were last night. Seems like somewhere in the last 6 years, I'd had a virus that went to the heart. I can increase the capacity through medication and exercise. So this is the 2 x 4 I've needed upside my head to get healthy.
Thanks for all your prayers. I'm sure they helped tremendously. I'm staying through Monday morning so they can do another EchoCardiogram, then I can go home. YAY!
OK - I’m set.
That's just wrong! ;o)
That’s what she thought!
Read your update... take care of yourself, sure hope you can go home (healthy) soon.
Eek...that all sounds a little scary, though I’m so glad the news wasn’t as bad as first thought!
Continued prayers!
OK - fair enough. I think we’ll be doing something tonight... either going out for a couple pints and dinner or watching movies or both... I’ll let ya know when I know!
*snort* Sumthin tells me they ain't gonna be callin you to advertise for them. ;o)
Hm...switching to running that space heater at all times and only running the main furnace thingie in the mornings and awhile at night means my electric bill dropped a decent chunk. So there’s that. Though it don’t make no sense.
