Hi,
re: fescue -kinda rang a bell with me - I remember hearing twenty years ago that it was dangerous for mares carrying foals to be on fescue, but I’ve been away from the horse community/information for a long time and am trying to relearn everything. Things/opinions can sure change in twenty years.

Yes, it can make them abort, make the bag thick so the foal can’t get out, or keep the milk from coming down.
I am fighting a losing battle. She gets upset when the other horses leave and she can’t see them and hubby goes and lets her out anyway. I will either have to quit work and stay home and watch her or give up. He keeps saying there’s no fescue there anyway, but it is about to start growing. I feel like I have no control or say so over my own horse because I cannot be there all day!!!!
Frustrated!
