Maybe a nice small tree in a pot, for her porch, in addition to whatever else she’d like. ;o)

I thought about that:),, and would maybe like to look into what type could live in a pot long term.

Can you believe this weather? I had the boys outside planting radishes at 9:00am. The temp at the time was 64 degrees. Forty-five minutes later it was so cold we couldn’t stand it. And the wind is blowing so hard!

Then I looked out the front yard and my neighbor (who collects cans and stores them in little plastic grocery store bags in heaps on her front porch) was out running around chasing down cans. There were literally hundreds of cans ALL OVER every one of our neighbor’s yards.

Sadly, while I was out chasing cans, I could hear the crash of tree limbs coming down. Many many trees (as I’m sure is the case your place too) have broken limbs that are caught and dangling and this wind is bringing them down.

We had several hanging and actually supported by our power line to our house, but thankfully Steve got them cut and removed last weekend.

The nursery folks could tell you which trees could stay pot-bound. There are dwarf varieties of lots of trees that might work!
