I've made refrigerator pickles with yellow squash this summer and kosher dills with zucchini - both turned out great. Next is to make some relish I think :)

I haven't put up anything at all in quite a few years - I did get enough blueberries for a pie and enough apples for another pie. Our fruiting trees/bushes are just now getting large enough to bear and we've had a drought here this year. Wednesday it's supposed to be 107 degrees (not including the heat index.)

Yesterday my husband and son-in-law put up a fence for the gelding arriving sometime this week. I don't know how they did it in the heat - the only time the temp drops below 100 is when the sun goes down.
