This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Amy took a picture of me laying in the middle of the road...I said take one of the "Road Kill"! :)
Now that's something ~I~ might do! Let's see it!
Oh my goodness, MT. I’m glad that you’re ok!
Sorry it's shaken your confidence on Jody.
She is a little bit of a hot head, Arab you know. That I could handle, but the spooking is dangerous. I was half way off her side and that spooked her even more. It would not have been so bad, if I landed in the yard, instead of the pavement.
Then the ER said to take Advil...no good painkillers for me!
Thanks...I cant even remember the last time I went off a horse. Its funny, I thought today, I am getting too old for this.
I do understand. I know I think I’m too old to come off a horse. Let alone on pavement. I don’t know if it’s a confidence you can regain... I know you’ve got a lot of miles on Jody but haven’t ever really considered her “yours”.
I’m so sorry.
You need a good QH:)
I fell off of a horse for a first time in a while about a year ago, and I realized then that I just don’t bounce anymore. I used to be able to land and bounce to my feet again as soon as I hit the ground. Now I hit the deck and stay down.
Hey now... ;~)
Be careful, I just might take you up on it! Even if they have to share my living room! ;-)
Hmmmm.. We might try it. He’s all set on the Alcatraz idea. There will definitely be pictures! He’s going to call me tonight so we can set up flight times.
LOL:)
Have fun Beaker:)
Glad you connected with this guy again. Hope you have a great time on your trip. The accent sounds cool.
I think it’d be fun to ride in the ocean, but never got to try it. It looks fun on TV.
Hope your dog does great with his surgery. They are like family after a little while.
Congradulations to your bunch on the shows and wins. Sounds like fun.
Glad you are OK after your fall. I know how bad it hurts and the older I get the worse it is. We all need to be taking calcium to give us strong bones. The falls are unpredictable, even for the brokest horses.
Wow, I’m sorry about the fall but really glad you’re going to be okay. Our bones don’t bend quite as easily as they did a couple of years ago so it’s probably a good idea to be careful riding her - maybe someone can work on despooking her for you.
LOL - I don’t think you want Tuffy in your living room - he’s pretty much a pig for a male horse, CJ is even neater than he is.
He’s home and doing great. He needs to be medicated three times a day but they are already medicated twice a day and are very good about it so that won’t be a problem.
Attack of the Killer Bees
Landslide
Beer Swilling Snakes
Race to the Mountaintop!!
We have pictures to back it up. It was the scariest, funniest, most unusual horseride I have ever been on and the most "crazy" stuff packed into one afternoon. Everyone lived to tell about it and even laugh after it was over. We already even started planning the trip back, with a few detours past the DANGER ZONES. Chapter One begins with a ride to the over the mountain and through the woods and streams to Bald Knob.
">
The friends and families left the campground in the clearing far below.
">
Little did they know as they posed in anticipation of a great ride, what lay ahead in the forest below.
">
And they're off ............

To be continued!

We need to hear about this :)
