Nice looking setup! You’ve got the swing out Tack-Around compartment on the back don’t you? And is that a very small pony tied to the back there or a very large dog?
HERE is a link to the pro photographer from the show, if you want to wade through them all. Alison is wearing a white shirt and hat and light blue chaps, riding the blaze face sorrel.
Yes, one of the reasons I really liked the trailer.
LOL at poor little Tubby! That is Alison's one-eyed trail pony. She gets asked at every ride, if she wants to sell her. That pony is the best.
My favorite is the close-up on the 11th row, 2nd from the right. Her face is out of the shadows better than in most of the others.
I think they have a really long syringe. They said they do it through the cage. I can pick her up in an hour.
She was already pregnant, very early on. I’m glad I got her in. Now I’ve got to get her sister in. I’m going to keep this one in, I’ve got the kitten’s crate back in the spare bedroom and remodeled for her, if she seems willing she can be reunited with them back there.
But sister can theoretically only be be gone 12 hours or so, if she might be nursing kittens, I could turn her right back out and hope for the best, they said.
Hello all.
I just looked at a 2000 model Trail-et 3 horse slant with LQ.
The LQ had heat & air, microwave, small fridge, shower, bed, sink......I think that’s it.
Also an awning.
Anybody know anything about Trail-et?
Wow, already pregnant, that’s amazing! I guess when you took the kittens she came right back into heat. I’m glad you caught her when you did, before she got too far along.
So are you going to go ahead and reset the trap for Sister?
They don’t want her now till Monday because they’re closed Thurs and Friday this week.
So as soon as I get this momma out of the trap, I’ll start feeding the other one in it, till Sunday night.
Can you imagine pregnant already? I always thought they were exaggerating when they said how many kittens a breeding pair of ferals can produce in a year.
Well, she wouldn’t have been come back into heat so soon if she still had the kittens nursing, but still, they could have 3 or more litters a year. That’s a LOT of cats!
Now she's glowering in the litterbox, but she's safe. And she hopefully can see that I didn't eat her kittens. Time will tell if she pays them any attention now or would want them in there with her, but they now have run of the bedroom and she's going to stay in the crate till I'm pretty sure she's healed.
Congratulations to Allison :)
I’m glad to hear the good news for your friends too. What is their colt’s name - I’ll watch for him.
Good Job on getting her transfered without loss of limb! It’s funny how some of them always seem to think the litter box is a bed.
With my outdoor cats, I always just kept them confined until they weren’t groggy anymore, then let them out. For some reason the outdoor cats always seemed to be pretty good about conserving their energy and not over-doing it. I don’t know why that is. Maybe they’ve just gotten smarter about things by living on their own.
Harley is doing fine. Kristy hasn’t rode him in over a week tho, because he had lost some shoes. It will be next week before she gets back too him as she is going out of town this weekend.
Nothing else much going on here other then work on the house. It has been very hot and humid here, and we have a possible chance of severe weather tonight.
I enjoyed all the pictures of all the riding last weekend:)
Good morning.
Becky
Good morning. Let the kittens loose in the house and they were tearing all over the place. I’m going to keep them out with me or in our bedroom today and give momma real quiet so maybe she’ll come out of the litter box and eat/drink. Wondering if they are not really helping her but instead stressing her out with all their running around.
But it’s like herding cats around here. Haven’t even fed horses yet, been too busy and I haven’t even had my coffee!
We’re getting drizzle this week. This late in the year, we actually have to count ourselves lucky to get rain, so... Hopefully it won’t make the trails too wet by the weekend.
I should be mowing. The grass is on the fence all the way around the pasture.
Well I’m glad to hear that somebody is getting some housework done, coz heaven knows I don’t. It’s been unseasonably hot here too. We’re in the 90s already and that doesn’t usually happen until July, but at least we’re getting some rain this year. If it wasn’t for that it’d be really bad.
Glad to hear that Harley’s doing well too. He sure had his share of problems last year.
They have been around for a very long time, so I would think they are pretty good trailers.
How big is the LQ?
It’s a terrific portrait of you :~)
You’ve got some kind of big fern at your feet. Almost looks like a Washington shot. :~)
It does look like a fern, but it’s not, it’s a young Mimosa tree. You probably don’t have those up there, but they grow like weeds around here. When they get bigger they have the most heavenly smelling blooms that look like little pink makeup brushes, but they smell like juicy ripe peaches. You can smell a large tree in full bloom for a hundred yards or so. It just makes your mouth water.
