FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread! - Thread 12

Posted on 08/07/2007 7:33:14 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - (very out of date) Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)

I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

I’ll go check it out. I admit I love kittens.

I'll post these all three places this morning...

This morning I helped feed the three that aren't really eating on their own yet...

And Gidget washed their faces afterwards. :~)

OHHHHHHHHHH:)!

So how are you holding up in the heat? I’ve been out mowing, and it’s killing me:) I’ve had to come in to cool off. I think I’ll wait till later this evening to do more.

We’re bearing the heat, but we’re not riding today... too hot. :~)

Actually, we just have other projects we want to do. We took down the temp fence around the new grass, so we have our yard back. Now to go mow and water it.

And then we tried to make a playpen for the kittens outside with the 2x4 horse mesh, and they walked right through it! Dang... In a week they won’t fit through there.

I moved the brush pile that we had made up by where the RV was parked moved to the pile in the arena and got it burning this morning.

And got most of the mowing done out in the pasture.

WOO HOO! That’s quite a stickpile!

And a lot of pasture mowing.... Good job!

So does Rocky get his run of the whole place now that Harley’s gone?

He’s going to. That’s another project I hope to get done today. Take the dividing hot wire and Harley’s pen taken down. It’s getting warm now, so that may have to wait till this evening. It’s not a hard job.

Jenny is coming over in a bit and we are going to watch Lost. I have 3 episodes recorded that we haven’t watched yet. That will kill the hot afternoon.

Well, we haven’t watched the last 4 episodes. One of them I don’t have:(, the weathermen preempted the whole hour one night, and I missed the reshowing of it. But I think we’ll still be able to figure it out. I think the finale is this week?

Hey, question...the episode that Jack is operated on, did Sawyer die in that episode???? We just saw Claire at the cabin when John found it, and she left with Sawyer, and he hasn’t been in this episode...

I sure hope he is OK, we like him:)

No, he didn't die. When Sawyer woke up in the morning, she had just disappeared, and Aaron was left behind.

Ok, thanks:)

Since he doesn’t appear to be one of the oceanic 6 we thought something might have happened to him. Jenny had to leave before we could watch all 3 of the episodes I have. So I haven’t seen last weeks yet.

Well, you can go back and watch it to see if there’s other clues you missed that episode. They all blend together in my head, so I don’t remember.

I’m coming to the conclusion that Ben is going to turn out to be a good guy afterall.

I don’t know about “good”, but he’s a lot more complex than just being a “bad” guy. He’s still a pretty twisted manipulative dude.

He reminds me of Ted Bundy. Have you seen interviews with him? Very bright, charming, but wickedly sociopathic, if that’s a word...
