LOL!! That’s so cute! The two in the front look like they’re really having a ball and telling the world about it.
The little guy in the back looks like he’s thinking “Just stop the car and let me OUT!”.

I think I’m going to like...it definitely keeps me busy:)

Last night I had to be the door greeter for a while...I guess all the cashiers have to learn that job, there is more to it then greeting. I didn’t mind to much, I did it later in the evening...so it was slow, so, I got to sit down some. It’s going to take some time to get use to all that standing. But I do like checking. But Walmart, IMO, so far, doesn’t have much of a training program. I had about 4 different trainers yesterday, and they are not all consistent in what they tell you. But I only have one more day of “training” then I’ll be on my own.

Heh... Well, I guess whatever way you do it, you can say someone told you to do it that way :~)

Get some really good shoes!

Heaven help you if you ever have to be the greeter right after Christmas! They’re the ones who have to make sure that they catch and tag everybody with returns. Man what a nightmare that’d be!

Do they have those little hand-held reader things at your store yet that you scan the returned item’s barcode and print out a little label for it? Those are pretty cool.

I saw on the news just now that you had a line of storms pointed right at you. They aren’t bad ones though? Are you working today?

LOL...there you go.

I bought a pair of tennis shoes that are pretty good. I’ve never had trouble before, it’s just been a long time since I’ve stood for 8 hours. I do get 2 15 minute breaks and 1 hour break tho, so that helps...so does ibuprofen:)

Yeah, we have those hand held things...and they are really complicated. Well maybe not that much, once again I think it’s just their training procedure. Everytime I’ve been a greeter it’s to give another person a break. They took me over to him and said tell her how to do it then go on break...the training was like, if this happens you do this push this button, then this one, write this down...if this happens...so on and so on, no examples shown...then off on break they go...I locked the dam thing up first try:).

Yeah that would be a nightmare after Christmas...whew, never thought about it, but I’ll sure try to avoid that at that time

Yeah, I’m working again today, 1-10. So far the storms have only been lots of rain and thunder, not bad.

Glad you like the job. I am fixing to hire a new person, so good tips on training. Consistency sounds like the most important thing.
Hope those storms don’t get bad. Keep us posted. They are supposed to hit here tonight into tomorrow.
I hope Duchess is right abt Sissy not foaling till first of April. I’d rather it not be in the middle of a bad storm.

I called the animal shelter today and a lady took Chops, my St. Bernard, home Thurs. for a trial. She had a yound Bull Mastiff she wanted a playmate for. She came back and adopted him, so now he has a home and a big playmate. Surely they have a big place to run if she has 2 big dogs like that. I am so relieved.

That dog will run a bull mastiff ragged, by the looks of him. What he needs is a whole herd of horses to play with.

Yes, he's big, but a sweetie. I thought he would just lay around on the porch, but he loves to run and chase things. He and Sasha, my buckskin, would take turns chasing each other, back when he got to get out when I was watching him. The death of the chickens was his banishment. I just want him to get to be a dog. I'll drive everyone crazy, not that I learned to post pics!

I used to know of a huge old german shepherd that like to chase horses. Well, sometimes they chased him. But he liked that too. His favorite thing to do was to sneak up behind them, then jump up and grab their tail and hang from it as they ran around trying to shake him off.

Before you get too girlie and...”oh my gosh that’s so mean”, understand that these were not very nice horses. They were covered in scars from biting and kicking eachother and you did not want to ride them or spend too much time too close to them. They would knock you over just to see what you would do...or maybe it was to see what the german shepherd would do. He was always trying to punish the horses if they got to close to a human.

My first reaction was to laugh as I pictured a mental image of it.
I had a QH 20 yrs. ago that ran up behing our grown Chow and pick him up by the shoulders with her teeth, shake him, and throw him out of her way. She didn’t like dogs and I guess she thought he was going to beat her to the barn and get her food. It was hilarious. He hit the ground, rolled and got up running. He got out of the pasture as fast as he could. I wished a hundred times I had captured it on video.
