This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
I know and I didn’t even nag you then :~)
LOL:) I noticed, because I thought about afterwards, and thought, I’m surprised Hair didn’t remind me to do it:)
I just went out and started shoveling...I had to come in to switch from a sweatshirt to a T shirt.

Well, we’re both out of practice :~)
You could take pictures of the poop :~D
I am having very bad cramps this morning and I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to force myself into activity or not. I’m really looking forward to menopause. :~)

Here we’ve got a cold wind blowing - no, it’s howling, from the west but I swear it feels like it’s coming straight from the Artic.
Good luck with all the downed and broken limbs.
I’m sorry, I remeber how miserable that is. A good day to curl up with an afgan, hot tea and lots of movies.
I’m glad that Chester is back - now for pictures of him :)
As embarrassed as I am for you all to see this, I did take a picture of Mt. Everest before I started.

They are forecasting snow again here on Mon:(

It wasn’t always like this... not since high school. But the last year or two, it’s like I have a few easy months and then a mega month.
It’s actually not as bad as I pictured, it’s at least dry!
Well the top layer is. Once I start shoveling, I run into wet slop. It may take a few days to get it all. The wet stuff is really hard to scoop out, it’s packed down. I may have to let it dry then take it out in layers.

That stall isn’t that bad - Tuffy does that in a week. What is it with some horses, they have to come inside to make a mess.
I’m really tired of this weather - I had to remind myself this morning that it’s only the first of March. Must be age, this has seemed like such a long, miserable winter.
When’s the last time you had a check up? You doctor might be able to prescribe something that will help on the bad ones.
I haven’t had a checkup in a long time. It’s usually just the first half of the first day that’s real bad. And luckily, it’s not a bad day to just hit the couch.
You’re right, this is a good day for staying inside :) Now, schedule and appointment next week. (just say, yes, Mom - will do)
That poor lady has sure had a hard winter.
What’s next for her?
yes, Mom - will do ;~)
:) Very good.
Well, I’m not sure what’s going to happen next. I hope things will start a turn for the better soon, it’s been a rough winter.
