Good Morning,

I'm right there with ya Becky, I hate winter too. We have six inches on the ground (at least) that has all frozen over because we had sleet too, and it's too darn heavy to shovel. So we're stuck here until the plow guys come.

Good morning.

Oh dear... I wish I could help.

My idea though, is that the guy could come anyway, even if he’s still gimping a bit, the guy would be able to tell it’s not serious. He might be the type to buy him with a thing or two wrong and fix it. ??

Thanks:), I’d let you help!

The trailer is gone.

I’ll let Charlie decide if we want the guy to go ahead and come on out.

Becky

Well, I do wish I could. Unfortunately even if I was there I would not be able to change the weather!

Lookie what we bought on the way home from the dump! :~)

It's another poor man's fish pond, an upgrade to just putting the fish tank outside again. We saw whiskey barrels on sale, they had one with a pond liner in it but didn't have any like that for sale, so we thought the 16 gallon muck bucket would work nicely, with a little room around the edges to plant some flowers!

Isn't it cute?

That is cute! It looks... warm there. It's still winter here. Oh yes.

Taking a break from doing my taxes. :-/ Blech.

It’s very spring like here at least by day... still getting a little chilly at night.

All ready! Got the dirt in around the edges, got it roughly level and full of water... still no fish yet, I need to go get some clean aquarium gravel and some fresh plants to put in there, and maybe let the temps come up a little before moving the fish and snails out there. I think the longer the water sits and gets it's little ecosystem going the better :~)

It’s snowing here :(

That will make a cool fish pond, now I am anxious to see it with flowers planted around it.

Cool! It looks like spring there!

How are your Tweek and Pippin? Chester the Cat is still hanging around, and has discovered the joys of catnip. ;-) He went missing during our snow storm yesterday, but showed up out of nowhere this afternoon. I swear that cat has the ability to disaparate or something, because all of a sudden he's just there, and I can never get a chance to see what direction he comes from.

Impatiens I think, around the edge and around the bottom of the barrel too. It only gets spots of sun under the trees, the petunias I tried last year didn’t do very well.

Well, we’re still a month or more away from early flowers being at the store... though they are selling primroses now if I was extra eager. :~)

Impatiens should do very well there with the shade and the humidity. It probably is a day or two early to plant though.

He does what? ;~)

Tweek and Pippin are just fine! They’re good kitties.

I’ll get some pictures of them in the next couple days. You post some pictures of Chester!

I think it’s too early to move the fish out there too... they’ve been used to inside temps so I shouldn’t put them out there while it still might freeze at night probably.

It’s just so nice out around here it hardly feels like February.

Oh well shoot. You've never read Harry Potter have you. :-) Disaparating (not even sure if I'm spelling it right) is the ability to disappear and pop out again wherever it is that you want to be...I feel like a huge nerd now...

I'm going to go out and buy myself a camera so that I can get pictures of Chester. I promise.

Oh - I thought it was some kind of typo. ;~)

I realized something was missing from the pond... The rubber duckie! So now it looks like a happy pond.

Boy, I wish I could say that here. It feels like the movie “The Day After Tomorrow” here. Maybe I should hit the road, drive through OK and pick up Becky and head south to warm beaches until spring finally arrives. The only problem is nowdays, even southern CA is getting snow. What’s the world coming to? :)

Well, you all could come up here if you want sunny weather.... now when did you ever think you would hear that? :~)
