The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - (very out of date) Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)

I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

Yeah, and I'm looking forward to taking you and Hair there too. It's Heck, BladeRider hasn't even been there yet.

Speaking of rides, have you ever watched the RFDTV show Best of America by Horseback? If you haven't, there's this guy, Tom Seay, who goes all over the country with his horse and crew and films at all these cool places to trail ride. I think I've talked about it on here before. Well, I've found out that he's coming to a place not too far from here called Faye Whittemore Farm. They'll be there May 2nd through the 4th and Kari and I have decided that we're going to go ride with them. It's kinda pricey ($160) to do it, but the camping, entertainment and all meals for 3 days are included so I figured why not. Here's a link to the farm's website that advertises the ride. It should be interesting, and maybe me and Ol' Bob will be on TV.

You’d think they’d carry it on cable, but I don’t think they do. I wonder if they’ve got some kind of exclusive agreement with the satellite companies or if the cable companies just don’t think their more citified viewers would care to have it.

I don’t know the answer. It’s ~possible~ I could get it if I bought one of the more premium packages... I haven’t really checked it out. I do feel rather left out... I’ve never seen all the clinic trainer shows everyone talks about. Watched just a little bit of a Clinton Anderson show when we were at Saddle Moot.

I’ve checked into it, and Comcast doesn’t carry it. At least not in this area.

Actually, I down graded my Dish package to just the basic’s. Larry and I planned on doing that forever, just one of those things he never got around too. Last week my remote for Dish went on the blink (everythings going on the blink around here all at the same time, I guess it’s a test to see if I can handle all this stuff myself), so I had to call to get a new one sent, and while I had them on the line I went ahead and changed my package. RFDTV is not included in the package I have now. I didn’t watch it all that much anyway, but I’ll be sorry to miss seeing you if you get on.

Well, I hope the wind doesn’t get so bad you have to sit in the truck in the store parking lot.

You know, I know you don’t like Sawyer all that much, but I think he’s pretty entertaining...He is currently going around trying to get votes to keep from being banished from the group, and just told Claire her baby “wasn’t as wrinkly as he was a few weeks ago”...LOL...at least he is sincere in his comments:)
