This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Naw we can get the pictures uploaded, we just need Becky to sit down and do it :~)
Well guys, I’m up and getting ready. BladeRider was late getting away from work last night so she didn’t get here until after 10pm. We took Blade down to my barn and turned him out with old Tennessee in his little paddock because we were afraid that there might be some excitement between the horses and somebody might get into the fence in the dark. So we didn’t get in bed until 11 and then I couldn’t sleep. :-/. Then the weather radio went off right at 4am, right before my alarm, giving a severe thunderstorm warning for the county just to the north and west of us. Looks like it’s going to be a nasty day. Keep us in your prayers! I’ll check in again right before we leave.
We’re headed to the barn to pick up the horses and then we’ll be on our way. We’ll check in with y’all later on in the day. WOO HOO!! Saddlemoot Part II has begun...
Have a safe and wonderful trip!
May you have a safe trip and the storms go right around you!
Tues. when Hair got here we stopped at our building in town and ate a quick supper, and came home, toured the property, sat and visited till Hair collapsed at 8:30.
But we were up yesterday morning before and 6. Drank coffee and visited till 11:30. Hair tried to catch a picture of Harley eating grass under the fence.
We had to run down to Charlie's house to get some sheets and blankets, and then stopped by the saddle shop I go too...can't believe we didn't get pictures. My hot box for the fence stopped working last week, and I don't want Dot and the other mares here without Rocky's fence being hot, so we stopped at the hardware store and got a new one, then went to visit 2J. We stayed at her house for a bit, to see her bug, again, I can't believe we didn't get a picture...what's wrong with us??? The she followed us here to learn the way, and stay for supper and more visiting. Hair rode with her in her new Cruiser.
As she was driving it down the road under a pecan tree, one fell and I guess made a loud bang...Hope there is no ding:(.
2J is a very prepared lady, she carries life jackets to keep from drowning in case she drives off a bridge....hhhhmmmmmmmmm I wonder how much a problem that is?
We hadn't got back to the house but a few minutes and MT called, so I ran back to town to meet her. Then we all gathered around the computer for a while to check in here and check the radar, it did storm a bit. 2J kept us entertained with stories:)
Then all of us ladies headed to the barn to hang the new hot box, and 2J tried to pet the rooster:).
We did get the box up and the fence hot. The plan is this morning to go get Dot, and come home and ride some. I promise I will be better about getting pictures.
Becky
Caught the latest forecast on NWCN... due to the storm’s swing north, the forecast for our area has been downgraded from ‘major windstorm’ to ‘a very windy day.’
Well, very good news! Glad to hear that.
(that was Hair ;~))
When are you expecting Frog and Blade?
Not till tonight. We’re thinking they won’t get here before about 7 or so, but we’ll be here after mid-afternoon.

It’s a very *wet* day, too. :-\
I really hate driving on the interstate when it’s like this...lots of standing water, and when a tractor trailer goes by you (or is beside you), you can’t see a thing.
Praying for a safe journey for you both.
Starting to get breezy here... lots of leaves and pine needles flying around, but that’s it so far.
Got home in time to catch a call from the dentist, they’re running late and have pushed me back an hour. :-\
Moved the Chevy out to the parking lot, just in case. Pine cones are starting to hit the roof, and Homer doesn’t like it ~one bit~. Oh well, these dogs are going to be lucky to have any hair left at the rate they’re chewing themselves. :-\
Off to the dentist now, will try to check in when I get back, as long as we have power.
I don’t think I’m going to come out there this evenin’, sis. I woke up this morning at 3:30am and couldn’t get back to sleep...ended up finishing up all the online tests I had to take for this job I applied for.
I’m beat.
What time should we meet at Jenny’s shop tomorrow? For the paper?
Well, how’s it going there? How’s your mouth, how’s the wind?
We just got back from our trail ride, went very well :~)
