The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - (very out of date) Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)

I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

Yeah - but I keep having to not sound like I’m more than I am. I’m just one chick with a horse or two. Some of the other posters there (who for whatever reason don’t give a lot of advice) have some real riding accomplishments behind them.

Looks like everyone is gearing up for the visit. I know that I don't have to say this, but take pictures

I have a horse show tomorrow, so I spent most of this afternoon getting ready. I'm really out of practice doing this kind of stuff, and I really remember why I dislike horse shows so much. Woo boy did it come back to me. I'm only doing one test so that I can ease myself back into it. No one is coming to watch, it's just going to be my trainer and I, so the only way that there will be pictures is if there's a show photographer present. Sometimes there is, sometimes there isn't. Kinda bummed about that, but oh well.

Hey, about the stirrup pants, I ride in something similar. You’ve seen me riding in them in all my pictures. They don’t have the stirrups, but they’re made out of the same material and I’ve been having trouble finding them too. But I just found some at Wal-Mart last week. They’re jersey knit, have and elastic waist, pockets and everthing. They have them in black, dark green, navy and gray. You want me to pick you up a pair or two? You can PM me the size if you do and I can get them when I make my pre-trip Wal-Mart run.

Thanks, but I think we can find them too... I did a search online and there’s some places still selling them online. So - I’m in luck for now!

I meant all day yesterday, if ecurbh will track your plan like you did when I came there. I have no clue how to do that. And BTW, I need the specifics about your flight # and all, so I'll know where to get you at. Is all I wrote down was the 16 at 4:10. Becky

I think ecurbh will be able to track the flight and post updates, but he’ll be at work too... I’ll look up and post the flight info today, when I’ve had more coffee!

I saw on the HH, that there is a shuttle to the airport from your house. You should have told me that. I’d have taken that rather then have you drag me to the airport so early in the morning. Not being a frequent flyer, I had no idea they provided services like that. I really felt bad about you having to pick me up so late at night, and take me back so early in the morning.

Eh I never would have made you ride the shuttle!

I’m only doing it so ecurbh can have some more sleep and get to work on time. I have to get on it at 3 for a 5:25 drop off, and it’s only an hour drive to the airport. So we’ll be driving and stopping all over the place.
