The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - (very out of date) Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)

I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

I’m sure I’ll bring a sweatshirt... I’ll probably be wearing one when I get on the plane, if not a raincoat :~)

I just have to remember to not pack ~only~ sweaters :~)

I bought a small suitcase yesterday too. We’ll see when I really pack stuff which one I really need.

It’s still getting pretty warm in the afternoons. The forecast looks like it’s going to be in the 70-80’s in the afternoons.

I gave Harley and Rocky access to the round bales this morning. I’m thinking it would be best to let them have it a few hours a day at first before giving them access to them all thru the night which is my plan.

Can horses colic on too much hay? This hay is not real high high quality hay. Just prairie grass, so it’s not high in nutrition.

Naw I don’t think they can colic on it but I suppose it’s wise to meter their access to it at first... break them in gently...

I was interested in what Rocky would do when he got access to his....remember what I told you he did the last time he had a round bale:)...Nothing happened this time, I guess it wasn’t as attractive as the other.

I just got back from grocery shopping....I looked but have no clue what kind of espresso to get. Either give me a brand name, or I’ll have to ask you to bring your own:) There were sooooo many.

Yes we have a maker. Mack knows how to work it, as I am sure you do too. I don’t:).. I will put it in the RV then you can make it to your hearts desire:).

I am getting so excited:), stomach is doing flip flops.

I just plugged in the RV, so the fridge will be cold so I put some things out there, pop, water, chocolate’s:).

It’s hard to go get things done, I just want to sit and wait and think about the fun.

I’ve been holding off as long as I can about starting a thread on the horse forum about you all coming to visit:) With the Fan Club you have over there, I’m sure it could be a fun thread....Don’t know how much longer I can hold off:)

I don’t quite ‘get’ why I’m so popular over there. To tell you the truth, it makes me feel a little uncomfortable that they take me so seriously ;~)

You have a very good mix of advise and humor:)...I’ve always been short in the humor department, and that gets me in trouble often:)
