This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Hey there frog, great trail pics! It looked like a beautiful day. I envy you in your t-shirt, it’s starting to get cool out here.
Whoa, that’s a lot a digging:)
Becky
Amen, on the bit issues. I don’t see why tack stores won’t let you exchange.
Becky
I just now saw your pics about digging that stall out. I don’t know why I didn’t see them before. But I do know that that’s darned hard work. I did that last fall to the run-in area where the mares and colts stay and it was a JOB. I did get to do some of it with the bucket on the tractor, but the space was too small to do much with it and I ended up having to do the rest with a manure fork and a wheelbarrow. Just getting it pried up with the fork was a major accomplishment, and then each fork-full probably weighed nearly 50 pounds. It nearly killed me by the time I was done. And of course since it was too hot to work on it this summer, it’s right back to the way it was before. AAAARRRRGGGHHH!!! Why do mares have to be so messy?! Putting down the mats and keeping it cleaned up regularly like you do the inside is definately the way to go.
It was a really pretty day but it started out pretty cool. I had a jacket on when we started out, but by lunch-time I was pretty warm and had to come out of it. I love the weather this time of year. The night-time temps are heavenly!
You’ve got FRemail.
Never mind, I see you’ve already seen it. I’m apparently the slow one. Duh!
"Please send me information on Delight's Blue Knight. If you will send me your phone number, I can give you a call with any questions I have."
I found it to be a bit off-putting since there was no greeting and no signature or anything, but the e-mail address was a person's name at juno.com. Do you think this is just some scammer or just a rude person?
Pony finds this just fascinating. Got it cleared all the way to the outside wall now, but Now snapfish is giving me the same errors it gave Duchess last night, so I guess I'll have to get back to work and the pics will have to wait. ;~\
I don’t know, you’re right it does sound odd... follow your gut on those things... if you do give your number and the call doesn’t smell right, it’s probably just the stuff coming out of my lean-to..
Well one of my pictures finally uploaded... It's pony.
What, me, in the way?"
As am I. ;~)
Wait till you see how much progress I’m making!
Goin’ back out now.
Sounds like just a rude person but I’d just email them back and ask them what questions they might have and could I send them pictures.
I agree with duchess.
Becky
LOL.
Becky
Got it cleared all the way to the outside wall and about 5 feet in. When I find dry stuff I'm just spreading it thin, much nicer footing.
You sure got a work out today. The run will be so much better for you, when you are done.
DO NOT answer that email inquiring about your horses. When I had Bodie for sale on AgDirect, I received so much junk mail. Not until it sounds like a real person and not spam, then I would answer. People who are interested in your horses, will ask for more information.
