This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
I'm lonely when are you coming to town? :)
BigMack
Awwwww, ain’t he cuuuuuute! You give that look to Becky in person and I’ll bet there ain’t nuthin she wouldn’t do! ;o)
Well I have good news. I have a THIRD interview with manufacturing operations director at the company that I’ve had the two interviews with. *crosses fingers* This means that I have to go out and find something ELSE to wear.
Bah. You don’t need to walk your dogs if you have the property that you do. I agree.
Sounds Promising! Usually if they bother to interview somebody THAT many times it means that an offer is right around the corner. Have faith! It’ll happen.
Too bad you can’t lay some booby-traps for them. Makes you want to coat your yard with dog sh!t or something. ;o)
Good morning, very quiet here today:)
MT: Have you decided to go ride the Paso?
Hair: when is your farrier expected?
I should be out on Rocky, and here I sit, but it is a beautiful day here, so I imagine I have lots of time.
Becky
The farrier was here this morning.... just left. :~)
Well, so how are Bay’s feet, does he think they are better? Does he think the fungus will return?
Becky
They’re pretty cleared up :~)
I’m uploading pictures, will be posting them to the other forum with a final update.
Who knows if it’ll come back...
Aw jeeze... I don’t know what’s wrong with that gal’s horse.
Does look head bobbing lame though. I’ll look again in a minute... trying to get a final update ready for Bay’s foot thread.
I think the horse looks pretty lame too:(. And I want so bad to comment on turning horses loose in the pasture with halters....ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr....hate that.
Becky
There’s lots of times I want to comment on safety issues, and sometimes I do... Check out Kayla’s two threads in the Conformation Forum. To me, both threads are an example of how NOT to tie a horse. She’s got the horses tied low, to a panel, one of them has all kinds of crap around that the horse could get step in, get tangled in and spook, pulling that whole panel with them.
I’m thinking of posting a thread, or series of threads, on horsemanship. For the kids mostly, some of whom don’t have any instructions or lessons on that kind of thing. I was going to make one of them ‘safe tying’ and set up an example picture of tying done right, and an example pic with lots of things wrong to see if they can see what’s unsafe in the pictures. What do you think?
RE: Treating Bay's feet... (UPDATE)
And just for grins... Here's a picture of Cyn's Right Front... The black on her is just dirt ;~)
Off to the last horse show of the season - horse shows here this year have been Peyton Place reruns.
You all have a great day.
Don’t forget the camera!
Who’s showing? Tuffy?
Becky, no I didn't ride the Paso. I would have like too, but after thinking about it for awhile, I decided to wait on another horse.
You remember when the Goldens came to our house. After they came back the second time, I gave one to my husband. He lives and works quite aways from here and I went to see her and him this weekend. She has grown into a beautiful dog. Still likes to run though.
Sorry about the internet!
We’ve been out digging in the lean-to. Going to take it down to where it should be an mat it. Tired of it being a swamp.
The picture of the dog is just adorable. What a sweet face. And the arrangement with your hubby is interesting... What’s up with that? Can you fill us in?
