I expect USC will never be seriously challenged this year. They should be far and away the best team (apologies to LSU).

On paper, USC should run the table. Realistically, these are kids in college. The football is pointy and bounces funny when it hits the ground.
USC should make the season somewhat boring in terms of who is #1, but it rarely works out that way when the season actually starts.
I’m still sticking to my 143-0 score at South Bend, though.

Playing for a Shillelagh is already a concession to the Irish. But that’s okay. The winner of the current one gets to keep it for a year, and it’s kinda fun having disarmed them.

“they do have one easy road game at Notre Dame where the final score will be something like USC 143, Notre Dame 0” Not so fast. Coach Weiss could let the grass grow so tall this year that you can’t read the score board.

I wish you guys were right -- I don't like the #1 preseason pick. It is like a curse. And USC always manages to be challenged in what were supposed to be easy games.

OK...I'm Wazzu...but this picture and the one at post 30 are enough to make me go along with the USC bent of this thread.
Though the Wazzu girls (I'm married to one too) are pretty damn good too.

LOL! -— I’m sure they are when the fog against their pale skin doesn’t render them invisible! (OK — I know that is more of an issue with the Huskies. You guys actually get sun.)

would any other school get away with having a sports agent foot the bill for a top players parents to live in a free home?.......

I don't think any school, including USC, could "get away" with NCAA violations that were investigated and determined to be violations. But what are you implying from your comment? Are you suggesting that USC benefited from Bush's talent because an agent gave his parents a cushy place to live? So he wouldn't have played for USC and played well otherwise? If Bush knowingly violated the rules, he should pay for it. If USC was involved -- and no one has alleged they were -- they should be punished. But it is silly to pretend that Bush and, subsequently, USC wouldn't have played as well had his mom not gotten a sweetheart deal. Or are you alleging the deal was made in order to recruit Bush to the school in the first place?

Think spray on tan...which ironically enough seems to be what everyone uses here in Vegas, where it’s sunny every day.

Definitely more competitive than our football team is likely to be.

Coach Weiss could let the grass grow so tall this year that you cant read the score board. Oh yeah, I had forgotten about that little stunt.
