Here is a partial crop report from c. Ill...expected yield 200 bushels/acre. Land is now $6,000/acre and expected to go up with increased demand for food stuffs from overseas...Crop conditions are similar here, as is the price of land and the potential for increased prices.
We're thinking the increased demand for corn, due to all the new Ethanol Plants under construction, will drive the price of corn higher, along with the increased demand for food exports (as you mentioned)
