Ahh, I see. I’m not hip to all the various traditions, so, as far as special church days go, I pretty much stick with the Big Three: Christmas, Easter, Pentecost.
Bummer your pastor’s in a sermon rut, like that. Prayers that his relationship to God becomes more vital, and spurs the flow of some fresh “Water” for the flock.
I think his relationship with God is okay - it’s just that his memory wanders. He’s got Parkinson’s Disease, too, poor dear. He’s retiring next summer, if he makes it that long.
I love going to Mass and would go every day if I could, but it doesn’t work out with all the children and their schedules. Once Anoreth can drive independently, at least she’ll be able to make a few more services.
