How about a kid and a non-kid area?
I'm in favor of that for just about every type of public arena -- restaurants, theaters. Stores should have special hours where kids can't shop. (And whose brilliant idea was it to make the kid sized shopping carts in grocery stores? Just what I need is little Johnny ramming the back of my knees with a stupid little shopping cart.)
Don't get me wrong... I like kids... I just don't think I could eat a whole one.

Our stores have little car carts. These are great, because they keep my little boys occupied with pretending to drive. They even forget to ask, "Can we have that? And that?"

Until the smoking ban went into effect, I would go to places like Red Robin, that didn't allow smoking anywhere in the building, and had a great meal smoke and kid free. But here in NY, kids are allowed in bar areas for some strange reason.
