I grew up next to a lake, and we would have fog in the winter. I know it was “humid” in the summer, but not by Clark County standards.
It was “warm and humid,” but it was livable. I’ve seen enough of the country to know this is what I like!

Scanning back a few years it looks like they average about 11 days of 100+ weather from June to the end of August.
Average high through late July/early August is 91, though, so compared to your place it’s comparatively cool.
