It was fun to be his “unofficial military matters advisor” until he started hanging out with people like Milton Friedman, Burl Ives, Carl Sagan, ect.. I quickly reverted to my “small fish impression”.
Yeah,, My burning eyes just told me to go to bed, gotta get up “today” and meet some out-of-town family who have come in.You and I have crossed paths before.. look in your old mail......
Quix - Thank you for the ping. It was informative and I appreciate your keeping me posted.
Contrarian - The “Burl Ives” he was hanging out with. Is that the same Burl Ives most of us are familiar with, the entertainer? If yes, what did he have to do with Carl Sagan, etc.??? If not, please excuse the stupid question (just being nosy)
I enjoyed and appreciated Ives and Milton Friedman a lot. Was he that close to Stanton Friedman? or was that who yo meant? I like him, too.
I always thought Sagan was an idiot jerk of a paid government shill.
Evidently that’s been verified after his death.
