In a way, I think that is why the judge came down on her. She had no excuse for driving. Yup. I'm sure she believes some animals are more equal than others. She was out buying CDs and that sooooooooo important.

Copped a nolo on a DUI with promise of probation. As part of the plea, she agreed not to drive again. Caught driving erratically, found with suspended license. Informed that she shouldn't be driving, signed form ackowledging that she was told she shouldn't have been drivng and let go.Caught, on the road, at night. driving 70 mph in a 35 zone with lights off. Possibly DUI again. Jailed for violating the terms of her probation. And the Judge TOLD her at the original plea that if she violated, she was going in. And she could have gone for a lot more than 45 days. Missed a step in the timeline.

By all means. She should have been allowed to carry on as usual until she did kill someone.

2.What they should have done was taken her immediately to an exclusive private mental hospital...like a spa..that wouldm. IMHO, have made her bullet proof. I suspect that they strongly suggested it, but she didn't wanrt to go. Inmstead, she was planning a party for tonight. CBS Entertainment Tonight? just showed a clip of Hilton saying "home is the best place to be". I'm sure that she planned to scam the system and go home.
Hilton's home measures 2,700 square feet, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

I suspect that the whole thing is correographed by her publicist. Like they say, no publicity is bad publicity. True. . .Paris of course, makes her own bad publicity; just by being 'Paris'; but personally don't think she was choreagraphing this one. Think she really thought; she could have it all; by getting away with it all; by virtue of the 'celebrity' she defines herself by; and of course, the Hilton name. . .
Think had she imagined the possibilities here; this scenario might have had a different outcome.
But then; why would she? Why would she ever?

So what the hell does the size of the house have to do with anything?
FR - full of class envy and folks who take enjoyment from other people's screwups. I don't think that's anywhere close to Conservativism.

This is from the article that I posted in 304.
She was pulled over by California Highway Patrol on Jan. 15. Officers informed Hilton she was driving on a suspended license and she signed a document acknowledging she was not to drive. She then was pulled over by sheriff's deputies on Feb. 27, at which time she was charged with violating probation.
She was told not to drive and did anyway.

I am furious, theyre jerking this china doll around and someones going to drop her...hell , they did! Her damn agent told her it was ok to drive, she was dumb to listen to him, all right. Dumb to want to drive. MOST people get out of there within days due to overcrowding. Now theyve let her out and gone back to collect her!? and act like shes committed a second crime just for being released yesterday. What do we know of her psychological maturity, what do we know of all the money-makers behind all this. Someone wants a money shot of her in a cell. Here we have another eat the rich thread, F.R. as ugly as Ive ever seen it. whooopeee! An heiress cries. To H*ck with these posters roooaaaaararrrrrrrrrr Oh give me a break! Paris Hilton is not the victim here. She was drunk driving, and then violated her probation multiple times. She violated a just law and was given a just sentence. This circus that the Sheriff started is irrelevant. If I owe the government $500, I have to pay it in full, regardless of whether some random clerk makes a mistake and says I only owe $50. If I have to do 10 days jail, then that is a price I have to pay as well. Ms. Hilton didn't commit another crime by being released, but she has not yet paid her debt to society. And I am a big supporter of paying debts off fully.

Get a grip. The point is that she broke the law repeatedly and thought she could dictate where to serve her sentence. The idea is to be punished for willfully breaking the law. Her house isn’t punishment.

Her damn agent told her it was ok to driveThat is not correct, because was pulled over in January, signed an affadavit that she was not supposed to drive, but was pulled over again in February.
Nice try, dangerfield, but no used stogie.
