As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
The horror.
This morning the Washington Pravda (called the Post by the evangelists of the left) is running a piece that leaves absolutely no comfort whatsoever in the hearts of those desiring to protect the American Way.
President Bush appears to have caved on the subject of Global Warming.
No kidding.
The President yesterday took the initiative to put the United States out in front in agreeing to goals for reducing so-called greenhouse gas emissions--in particular, carbon dioxide. The President outlined this in his speech for his priorities at the G8 summit next week in Germany.
The problem is fundamental. Carbon dioxide is the end product of the process of combustion--the key to liberating energy from the most efficient of fuels. While it is true there is more than simply a casual relationship between the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the ability to retain radient energy (the planet would be unlivable if this were not true as the surface temperature would be well below zero), no one has been able to answer a fundamental question--what is the mathematical relationship between the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and temperature change. Is it linear? Doesn't appear to be, otherwise planet temperatures would be far higher now as carbon levels have gone up by tens of percentage points over the last decades. So what is it?
Talk has been made of a so-called "tipping point", the point at which carbon dioxide levels would cause temperature increases. Again--what is that level? No one seems to be able to have an answer.
Then there is the anecdotal information available to everyone. Supposedly the planet is warming, but there have been record snowfalls over the northern United States in recent years--indeed, just a couple of years ago northern Virginia received over 60 inches of snow during the winter!
Simply stated, from iceagenow.com, you cannot say its getting warmer when the refrigerator is getting colder.
As has been pointed out on numerous occassions, the meteorological process that generates the east coast blizzards associated with the nor'easter storms requires the collision between warm and cold air masses. As cold air cannot hold as much water vapor as warm air (and the colder the air, the less water vapor it holds), the moisture is squeezed out of the tropical portion of the storm and falls. The greater this temperature difference, the more efficient the process--in other words, more precipitiation. Of course, if the difference is great enough, the cold side is below freezing at the surface, causing snow.
It is also well established that soil changes temperature far more readily than water (in fact, changing the temperature of water requires the transfer of more energy per unit of mass than just about any other substance). People usually intuitively know this--that's why we throw water on a fire to put it out.
Intuition would also suggest that if snowfall levels are increasing, then the process for creating such must be working better--and that there is more cold air available to create the outcome.
Problem is, all the hot air surrounding the subject of global warming is apparently melting people's common sense.
Unfortunately, the President seems to have joined that crowd.
Say good bye to prosperity.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
What kind of puppy?
Guess I should ask, what BREED?
Get busy
Good morning, youse two.
Is Zay home, Neets?
I’m going to stir the pot a little
“....What political conservatives and on-the-ground Republicans must understand at this point is that they are not breaking with the White House on immigration. They are not resisting, fighting and thereby setting down a historical marker — “At this point the break became final.” That’s not what’s happening. What conservatives and Republicans must recognize is that the White House has broken with them. What President Bush is doing, and has been doing for some time, is sundering a great political coalition. This is sad, and it holds implications not only for one political party but for the American future.”

Our company has a DC lobbiest group. According to them, politics trumps science on global warming. In other words - it will happen (controls).
If we are going to do it, the next battle is to get the Dems out of the equation since not one of them knows anything about capitalism (except how to steal money from “rich” people). There’s one way to minimize the impact. That’s to transfer income taxes to carbon.
What in the world is he thinking? To run down his base for not supporting this lousy bill is just nuts.
What has happened to this man?
Hi sweetie,
Yea, I brought him home Wed evening. We are still changing diapers frequently but at least he is eating and trying to run around and torment Daisy so he is feeling better.
I think you are absolutely right.
Hammer
Nail
Head
Wham!
Sorry, I don’t do politics anymore.
Too many depressing things everywhere for me to even venture down that avenue.
She is right. The President lost Jim completely. I know my morals and values haven’t changed. But apparently President Bush’s have.
I feel betrayed.
We've been betrayed.
Hmmm
>>What has happened to this man?
He gave up.
The libs bash him daily on the war (before 9/11 they bashed him daily on whatever (taxes, education, churches, etc)
Everyone in the media agrees with the Democrat propaganda. So he sits around thinking “Am I the only one?”
I can guess what JT will be doing in the coming weeks.
BTW, the bridges here are still unrepaired. The government doesn't have enough resources to get the job done quickly and too much was damaged. It will be a long time before things return to normal. What used to be a short five minute trip through town can take as much as 45 minutes or longer these days. A standard question when planning social activities is "what side of the bridges do you live on?"
I take it JT is doing well?
Is he on the down-side of his deployment?
I am happy to see/hear you are coming “home” for a spell.
>>What has happened to this man?
Did you see Dick Morris’ column the other day on this?
It’s a trap by the Dems-— If he’s seen as anti-Hispanic - the Republicans loose the South and basically everything.....they are gone.
OK...speak up. Why the Hmmmmmmm?
I just don’t picture you with that kind of a dog.
hmmmmmmmmmm
I always check tempermant first.
Temperament
Alert and intelligent, calm and observant. Instinctively protective, he is courageous and highly adaptable. He is very loyal and responsive. Highly territorial, he is a natural guard. Reserve around strangers and off its territory is acceptable. Responsiveness with animation is not characteristic of the breed. Overhandling would be discouraged.
I worry about those who are termed “highly territorial”.
