Good catch, most logical thing is that this is a Christmas gag of Santa dropping presents to all the “good little boys and girls” and then dashing away. Kind of like NORAD has a Santa tracker and alot of local weather men will do something with their radar during the weather ... the local police did some special effects magic for alittle Christmas cheer.
