You said — “Genesis 6:4 “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”
I read this as relations between Terran wimin and people from outer space.
—
Yep, those people from “outer space” were the angels.
.
.
And then — “Rather physical relations for purely spiritual Angels.”
Yep, it was rather physical, but angels are not “spiritual” in the sense that they don’t have physical form and don’t exist in physical bodies. The Bible, itself, warns people that they have “entertained angels” unaware that they are angels, so it says to be hospitable, because you may be entertaining such a being, as an angel — here on earth.
They can talk to you, have a physical appearance and touch, they can hold your hands, touch you, they can eat, walk around and do all the things that humans can do, and *more*. They do have the capability for some kind of (perhaps) interdimensional travel, as they can literally *disappear* while in plain sight, being there and in the very next second, not be there.
It’s like the physical body that Jesus had, after the resurrection, the body in which it could be touched, He could eat, he would walk around and talk with people, and yet — at the same time, it was much more in that He could literally come into a room without going through a door, merely “appearing” in front of people. And, He would literally *disappear* in front of people. That wasn’t Jesus before He died and resurrected — but *after* He was resurrected and given the “glorified” and permanent body (not this “earthly body” that we all presently have). The angels all have that same capability, as Jesus has in His glorified body — and like all Christians will have in their future and glorified bodies, too.
In the New Testaments, we see that these angels who *violated* their original commands to “stay away from those earthly women” (i.e., they “abandoned their established and given domain”) — were punished by being placed in prison and being held there until judgement day, at which time they will be cast into the lake of fire, for their actions in Genesis (taking the women and cohabiting with them).
The other fallen angels are not cast into prison but are allowed to still freely roam around and exercise a certain degree of freedom and choice (although within the limits and boundaries established by God). However, these particular angels *extremely violated* the commands of God, which is the reason he cast them into prison and keeps them there until the future judgement day, and that’s also the reason why the earth was destroyed by the flood, to rid the entire earth of any life form that would have been polluted by these unions.
.
.
And then you said — “This is Biblical Proof that there is life elsewhere in the universe.”
There is life elsewhere in the universe, because God created it and He told us about it. They are those many different classes of angels, all created to do His bidding. We’ve known about that “other life” in the universe long before any popular discussion of UFOs ever began.
To put it in a more *clear light* as to what was going on with those angels and why they were cohabiting with the women of earth, we can see a couple of factors there.
One, was that, first of all, they were the fallen angels and had already *rebelled* against God. Thus, they were no longer acting in a righteous manner or doing the full bidding of God. God did allow this to happen and knew very well (from the beginning) that it would happen. In fact, God created the race of human beings, in order to *show His righteousness* and to show how His *judgements* are perfect. The human race is actually a “showcase” for the universe — to “put on display” who *God* is — not so much who the “human race” is. And in doing so, this exposes who the human race is and it also exposes who the fallen angels are (for those 1/3 who did fall and have rebelled against God).
So, being no longer concerned with the righteousness of God, those certain fallen angels also fell into lust with those women. You can just see that very thing happening, once someone (or any being) decides that they are no longer going to be concerned with the righteousness of God), they will certainly go into a “headlong downfall” in short order. And that is what happened with these particular fallen angels. And I’m sure they knew that their days were numbered, so they decided to “make the best of it” while the “gettin’ was good”...
But, there is another sinister aspect to this particular account. It starts in the Garden of Eden, where it is told that a Savior would come, from the race of mankind (that is now who we know as Jesus, the Messiah of Israel, who is, besides being *fully God* — is also *fully man* being complete in *every single way*). The fallen angels are out to thwart the plan of God and it appears that they were also *jealous* of the special attention that God placed in mankind. So, it appears that they were also out to *destroy* mankind, and thus destroy God’s plan in that a savior would come out of mankind to save the human race, in the end.
As it stood, at that point in the Garden of Eden, mankind was *forever doomed* and could never recover! God gave that promise and continued to *expand* on that promise over the next few thousand years, until the “fullness of time” and Jesus, the Messiah of Israel did arrive.
The “forever doomed” mankind, found salvation in Jesus and thus, was rescued from the “eternal damnation” that Satan had *engineered* in the Garden of Eden, as a sort of “rebuke” to God (if you can imagine that...).
This causes the fallen angels to be *that much more aggravated* at God for doing what He’s doing, so they are determined to *finish off* the human race, once and for all, so that the Messiah cannot come through the human race any longer — because the human race *won’t exist*. Thus, they figure, they will have *brilliantly* defeated God.
At first, it looks like their plan is succeeding. Certain of the angels come down, giving up their previous positions, and live with and have sexual relations with the women of earth (hence the “daughters of man” having relations with the “sons of God” [everywhere the Bible mentions “sons of God” it is always referring to angels, except for the instance of Adam, where he is also called a “son of God” being that he was a “special creation” by the hand of God, like all the angels were].
So, the angels *were not human* (i.e., of the human “race”). They were a special creation and race. Thus, what was created between the one race and the other race — was a *hybrid* race — which was *no longer human* but of an altogether different hybrid race.
And if that *continued* for very long — eventually the “hybrids” would take over and eventually breed out the “non-hybrids” (or the *human race*). And *that* — was their plan for the *destruction* of the human race.
NOW, from *that plan* and their implementation of that plan, you can see *why* God had to bring a “world-wide flood” to destroy the *entirety* of the human race (i.e., “hybrid race”) off the face of this earth — totally and completely! Otherwise, there would always be hybrids around to intermingle and *pollute the gene pool* and eventually wipe out the human gene pool.
That’s why God says of Noah and his family —
Genesis 6:8-9
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
10 And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
It’s been curious to a lot of people about this “genealogy thing” there. And furthermore, about “perfection in his generations”.
But, in light of the “pollution of the gene pool” and the fallen angels desire to destroy and finish off the human race (as “God’s special creation”) and substitute a race of their own making (i.e, the “hybrids”) — then it makes sense. Noah (and his family, which would include his wife, sons and daugthers-in-law, of which Noah was the “head”) was *perfect* in his “genealogical lines” being “pure” in his family’s gene pool and “unpolluted” in this genes being traced back to the beginning with Adam and Eve. In other words — there were *no hybrids* anywhere in Noah’s line or in his family’s.
And so, Noah and his sons and daughters-in-law being saved — represented the *saving of the human race* in the manner that God had created it (not polluted by hybrids) and thus — *preserving* God’s plan that He said He would carry out — in *saving mankind* from a son who would be born of the human race — namely, Jesus, the Messiah of Israel (i.e., being *fully man* — as God had *originally* created mankind — and not “born of a hybrid”).
—
And there you have it — not only alien life forms in outer space, but hybrids here on earth... what a story the Bible tells! This is better than Star Trek or Babylon 5....
Sorry, meant to ping you to Post #339, but forgot to put your name in there...
Excellent! The back story of Noah you give is quite plausible.
I’ve never been very fond of the concept of wiping the slate in such a wholesale manner, but at least I can see the reasoning behind it now.
Might I add. to those who claim “there is no other life in the universe”.
Go out in the daytime. Look up. See that big bright spot? It is life. Without it, we are all nothing. Won’t exist, gone, gone, gone.
Go out at night. See all those bright spots? LIFE. Every one of them.
Would you recognize life from these other ‘sources’ ???
Not likely.
There is an area above our atmosphere, just between it and outer space, that is part of that life, and life support. It has a resonant energy the same as human beings, the same as all creatures great and small, and the same as Earth. It too is full of life. Full of creatures.
We have seen them, but we have not recognized them. Yet.
