Do we really think that Jamarcus Russell has the leadership to bring back the glory days of the Silver and Black? I'm near Baton Rouge, and the locals have often said that he's not very good at clock management. Is that something that we think he can develop? That's a really good question. Russell seems more like raw talent than polished talent, and I can probably understand the sentiment of a lot of LSU fans. I think that onus is going to fall upon Lane Kiffin, and at least for his rookie year, the veteran O-lineman we signed, like Jeremy Newberry and Cooper Carlisle, are going to make sure he doesn't get completely destroyed.
Otherwise, do folks generally follow just their favorite teams or do they follow the entire draft?
I can't watch the entire draft, at least not the ESPN coverage. I can only take so much of Mel Kiper, Jr. on my television. I may watch the NFL Network's coverage, since I can only hope it's better.

Interesting...
FWIW, ESPN reported that Cleveland wants the #1 pick so the Raiders can drop to #3 and get WR Braylon Edwards.

Falcons..and they’ll go no better than 8-8, possibly 6-10 as long as Vick is the QB..IMHO, they traded the wrong guy..I think they needed to trade Vick for a true #1 WR and a draft choice or two and promote Schaub..they went in the wrong direction..

Smooch!
you did good FRiend GOP_Raider.
all.. I care a lot, circumstances change however. Many of you know & understand. I will help the transition “team” as best I can.
BTW, my date tomorrow is to a sports bar to eat/watch the draft. How sweet is that? (well, the Cav’s game is on the agenda also)

Thanks, Dolly!
That reminds me I need to convince more women that sports bars are great places for dates. I believe the technical term for the kind of man that will take a lady to a comfortable sports bar is “Keeper”. Just so you know. ;)
Also, I actually pre-wrote a few pieces on some topics for the Singles thread that I think I’ll use for later weekends, since I don’t want to use up all of my literary masterpieces in one shot. :) Most of it is written like a monologue on articles I find from dating sites, dating horror stories, or just good, bad, and in between from other people’s single life. So I’ve got material for future weekends. :)
Anyway, thanks again for the opportunity Dolly!
