argot \AHR-go; -gut\, noun
1. A specialized and often secret vocabulary and idiom peculiar to a particular group.
2. A secret language or conventional slang peculiar to thieves, tramps, and vagabonds.
Example sentences:
No one likes jargon, especially other people's jargon, and few bodies of professional lingo are less beloved than the argot of educators.

Well, my family growing up never called them that, but I knew of others that did. My wife and daughter use the term.
Now I’m really home sick. I miss LA.
we called them sunny side up growing up. my kids don’t like them so i don’t call them anything, but they are my fave style of egg.

ceej, is it possible to have a resistance to strep? we have NEVER had it in our house, not once, and my oldest is almost 19 yo. xsteen has had a headache and bad sore throat for 3 days running this week. sent her to the dr. today, thinking well there can always be a first. nope. nothing grew. they will continue to watch to see if anything shows up later, but they are thinking it is viral.
