What are your plans for Earth Day?

Posted on 04/22/2007 7:31:45 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

Today is April 22, Earth Day.

Am I the only one who says WHO CARES???
Has it become "cool" to go green? I see it everywhere and I just don't understand.

The reason I ask is because I am a television producer. Recently in a meeting of story ideas.. the idea of how to go green was brought up.

Yeah yeah we'll tell people about different ways to save the environment, one person said. Keep in mind.. I live in a Very Conservative area. These people aren't your usual liberal tree huggers.

Why is Global Warming such a big issue? Or is it a fake issue? Global warning probably does exist. But there's nothing we can do about it. Global warning, from what I've read, happens on other planets like Saturn too.

I tend to think it's a made up issue. Shouldn't immigration be the number 1 issue? How about Iraq?

How about a Governor going 91 miles an hour down a highway with no regard for anyone's safety?

How about the fact that some kid just shot up a school.. and now gun grabbers will be going after our guns more than ever?

Muslims worship the moon, and treehuggers worship mother earth. Both groups are equally as dangerous to freedom loving Americans everywhere.

So in light of all this.. what are you doing for Earth Day? I'm gonna go gas up my SUV, fire up the gas grill, put gas in my SUV, and chop down a few trees.

I just watched a segment on Fox where they talked about how to go green in your home.

I watched it and learned some things.

Leave unused appliances plugged in ALL the time.

Wash all your clothes on the heat cycle.

Always dry dishes using the Dry cycle. Never let them dry on their own.

And don't forget to mow the grass today!!!!!

Lets change our oil and dump in in the back yard like we did when we were kids.

And burn some firewood...outside!

I’m filling up the old SUV and going for a long ride with the windows down and the airconditioning going. While I’m gone, I’m leaving all my lights on in the house. When I get home, I’m going to fire up the old charcoal grill and let in coals burn until just right and cook 1 steak on the big grill. I think I’ll buy some more plastic bottles of water and ask for plastic bags. Maybe I’ll drink the water out of Styrofoam cups.

I am going out side to clean my deck. I do it every year after the snow is over. Which I might add lasted until this week in our town. Also I will stay away from the weather channel and tv period. I plant every year and do not need the rich spoiled brats who were raised in hotels tell me what to do. Al Gore is such and expert he was raised where? It was not the country.I hope today he cleans up the mess at the house he rented in Tenn. Oh that’s right , he doesn’t go to Tenn. now does he. Al can get in his jet my carbon footprint today , he needs the points.

And I should add that the original Earth Day, April 22, 1970 was the 100th birthday of Vladmir Lenin. Do a Google search on Earth Day + Lenin or check out this Wikipedia article:

Wikipedia Article on Earth Day

More proof that Earth Day and the whole Greenie movement is a Communist plot.

Is Earth Day always on the same date or is it always on a Sunday? Shows you how much I pay attention to it. I'm surprised it isn't on a weekday so the public schools could conduct Earth Day ceremonies to further indoctrinate our youth.

You’re a television producer? Search on Agenda 21 in this forum, if you want to know where all the ‘green’ stuff comes from. Those who oppose property rights and the freedoms upon which America was founded, celebrate Earth Day(Lenin’s Birthday).

It’s a beautiful day here in Northern Ohio, so I’m gonna fire up my Rat Rod, blow some smoke out the pipes, and do some serious burn-outs.

I’ve got a few things on my to do list-

Turn up the heat in the house to 90 and the A/C down to 55 to see which one comes out on top.

Fire up the Navigator and let idle in the driveway just to charge my cell phone.

Replace all those f$#@&! florescent bulbs my wife’s been installing around the house with good ol 150w halogens. To dispose of them I’ll place them all in the recycle bin and set the bin on fire. I’ll invite the neighborhood children over to toast some mellows.

Gather up all the dead phone batteries I’ve been collecting for years, drive down to the reservoir (once my cell phone is charged) and see how far I can drive them with my new set of seal beating clubs.

I’m going to open all the doors and windows and breath the fresh air!

But before i do, i will turn on every light in the house, the A/C down to 35, put the oven on, run the generator for no reason, test fire my gas/oil mix garden tools with too much oil, cut down a tree, spray bug poison on my lawn, fire up the charcoal grill using a gallon of lighter fluid, water the driveway, wash the mail box, feed the bears, kill lizards, frogs, and spiders, wear leather, buy high test gas, use styrofoam plates, take all the plastic grocery bags I’ve been saving and put them in the regular trash, charter a 747 to being me lunch from Australia, rent a speed boat, empty dirty motor oil, drive my SUV really fast with the radio screaming gangsta rap while smoking cigarettes and throwing the butts out the window!

Then in the afternoon I’ll ..............

I personally am going to go out and urinate on a tree.

Always willing to give a little back, I am.

First, I’m going to spread some chemical pesticide and herbicide products on my lawn, then take a long, hot shower. Maybe then I’ll drive across town in my SUV to pick up a loaf of bread. Since I won’t be in the store long, I’ll just leave the engine running...
