NASSAU, Bahamas — Anna Nicole Smith's ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead is the father of her baby girl, a judge ruled on Tuesday.

"I hate to be the one to tell you this but I told you so," a jubilant Birkhead said Tuesday after a closed-door hearing. "My baby's going to be coming home pretty soon. I'm the father."

I have heard and read from several sources that Anna Nicole turned down the 88 million settlement. And ended up with nothing. Crazy of her if this is true - which it well might not be. She had the right to refile, but now is dead.

I wasn't aware of her having turned down the settlement.Assuming that your info is 100% accurate (which I'm willing to do) then one would think that any of her heirs would be able to refile.But then,I sure ain't no lawyer.

Reportedly, once it was turned down, it could not be reinstated. But I am no lawyer either and I am not certain how true it is - considering the numerous false reports that have appeared in the media.

I think Birkhead cares about the baby.

Perhaps, although I think money is his real motivation. The time for him to have cared about a child's welfare was before he began having premarital sex with a drug-addled D-list celebrity whom he was covering as a photographer. The baby would be much better off if she were given to a stable and loving two-parent family, and screw any of the millions she might inherit. p.s. I am proud to say I don't know anything about any of the parties to this b.s. I can't avoid seeing some headlines but I have resolutely avoided reading anything about this idiotic matter or watching any tv that talks about it, etc. The one useful thing about it was that it cured me of having any desire, ever, to watch any more cable news, etc. I'm done with all of them, I hope forever....

Birkhead has done nothing to warrant his motives are financial. I think he really loved her. She probably would have been smart to stay with him. Bet he would have made her go to the hospital with a 105 degree temperature.

I intend to demean a “man” — and I use the term loosely — such as Birkhead who was so immature & irresponsible to become involved with ANS in the first place.
