Not exactly sure if the fluid built up slowly, but there was also some in my abdomen. I have to have a diuretic perscription and an antibiotic filled tomorrow. Walmart will do it cheap. It’s strange, but I had a chest x-ray at county hospital in October. I can’t believe fluid could build up that fast, unless they’re totally incompetent.

If you take anything with Tylenol, quit now, and get a liver scan. It most definitely does a number on your liver. That includes Nyquil, extra strength Excederin...I stopped several years ago with the Tylenol and ibuprofen, but I took a lot of it for back and neck pain.

I would advise anyone to do that, and lay off the Diet Coke. I was slugging down 2+ liters a day until last year when I elimated caffeine from my diet.

I quit carbonated drinks years ago. They are absolutely horrible. I drink mostly propel or green tea. Thank God my Lupus has been in remission for over 12 years and I'm seldom, if ever ill (knock on wood).

But fluid on the lungs and in your abdomen.... there has to be a cause. If you don't have pneumonia or cancer or CHF then something is causing pleural effusion. I hope your doctors are taking it seriously. Did they run blood work to see what it showed?...
