You have to clear customs in the United States, cannot clear it in Bahamas coming back into the USA, you have to clear in Bahamas when flying ito the Bahamas and vis-versa.

This is what started a problem for Rush Limbaugh last year when his private jet was searched in customs in Florida and they found out he had viagra in his doctors name... and not his name -- that was Fort Lauderdale, too, as I recall.... When we went to Jamaica we have to clear customs in Houston.

You don’t go through customs at your departure. They went through customs in Florida, then departed for KY.
