I’m sorry, but given what we know about HKS, I just cannot understand how ya’ll can see him in any other light. Are you saying that you do not see any psycopathic behaviors or that it’s not possible, in spite of everything, that he may have planned or been complicit in the deaths of Anna and Daniel? I believe he is, on all counts, and am outraged at him (perhaps for personal reasons), so I don’t understand feeling otherwise. I’d really like to understand where you’re coming from....right now though, I get the impression that you have issues (perhaps on some personal level) with Virgie and need to find ways to place blame on her, giving HKS sort of a ‘pass’? it might be helpful to the rest of us,well, at least to me, if you could explain further.
I’m not defending HKS... never have, never will...but, I don’t thing Virgie has clean hands in this situation, either.
The facts in the deaths of Daniel and ANS implicate HKS. Whatever ones feelings about Virgie, this should have nothing to do with recognizing that HKS exhibits the symptoms of a sociopath. Sociopaths are not like the rest of us. They lack a conscience, and they can be cunning, devious, and slick liars. the only way to relate to them is to avoid them because they spell trouble for whoever crosses their path.
I can’t speak for AZ, but she sure doesn’t like Howard,lol! I don’t think I have any personal reasons, but I’ve tried all along to keep my personal feelings out of this saga. But, maybe for me, it partly goes way back to when I watched a number of episodes of the ANS show and formed an opinion of Stern then. I did feel sorry for him, up to a point, saw him as being in love with Anna but willing to put up with her through thick and thin and being loyal to her, regardless of how she acted or what she said. I’ve never seen him as a strong, controlling man. Weak and wimpy, yes. I simply differ from you in that it hasn’t yet been proven to me he’s a sociopath or psychopath who planned to off 2 people that I think he honestly cared a great deal about. Anna was his career and his life and he defended her to his great detriment, and probably couldn’t see the forest for the trees. I neither like nor dislike him, yet.
There may be one thing that influences me a little, but I’m not positive how much it does. I’ve mentioned it on one of the other threads. Twenty-five years ago I was an alcoholic. Granted, there might be differences between alcoholism and addiction to prescription drugs, but addiction is pretty much addiction, in my book. During that time (late twenties), people enabled me, but even if they hadn’t, it wouldn’t have stopped me until I hit my bottom and gave up. I would never have wanted one of those people to have been charged with a crime if they’re enabling or facilitating my getting booze ended up in my death. I knew those people well and they cared about me, and vice versa. They weren’t bad people. So many just don’t know exactly what to do or how to handle addicts, and often those living with an addict for so many years also become ensnared- whether they partake of the addiction substance or not. It colors their thinking and actions, and it probably was true of Howard. They need education and help, too. My addiction was my responsibilty. I certainly place a great deal of blame on Dr. E and yes, some on Howard. The inquest hasn’t happened yet, so I’m also waiting for info that will come out of that. I’ve always said I could and might easily change my mind about Stern. Don’t know if that helps you any, but that’s it in a simple nutshell.
