....The main reason I didn’t think too highly of him at first was the fact he abandoned Anna and her mother and never seemed to care enough to contact Anna for years and years. I figured there was lots more to THAT story.

I wondered about that also but, did not hear anything and you never know what goes on behind closed doors or whose fault it is.

I can understand that suspicion, my own father quit a high paying job so he wouldn't have to pay child support.... my mother placed my middle sister and myself into an orphanage for a while as a result and lived in a boarding house with my baby sister until she got on her feet...My grandparents )fathers parents) were well to do and found us and brought us to live with them in the interim, but my grandmother never failed to denegrate our mother to us when she had a chance...

There is a great deal that goes on in families that never meets the eye and probably good reason to look at everyone with a little suspicion.
