The website that has that illustration is a high priced PR firm hired by the Marshalls to promote their agenda and version of events.
I am no ANS fan...not by a long shot. That being said J. Howard Marshall hounded her to marry him and did promise her that he would take care of her of her for life. She did have a very successful career that had limitless potential at that time...when she married J. HOward she became a national joke and constant fodder for comedians?
Six million dollars is a lot of money...however, ANS was making a great deal of money herself during that period. Her marriage did affect her career and her image and possibly her future income.
And out of curiosity what’s the magic number ($$$$) for everyone on this board to wed a liver spotted, incontinent 90 year dirty old man in a wheelchair whose only exercise was groping your boobs? ANS just needs to be glad that Viagra hadn’t been invented yet...
And lets face it...she didn’t marry him for his good looks, youth or ability to father her children...she married him for the security and the promise that she would be taken care of for life!
That’s the way I’ve always seen it; also we forget he hounded HER to marry him, not vis-versa... she kept telling him no because she didn’t want to be a laughing stock.. remember this was pre-HKS days and she was in one of her more sober fazes of her life.
Well fortunately or unforunately they are now both gone. Perhaps the old man came back to get his young bride, his monies worth!
The last stripper he gave millions to did just fine with the $$$ and invested them, as he expected ANS to do.
Unfortunately, she didn’t keep her end of the bargain and act like a wife. She brought boyfriends to the house, even to his hospital room. She lived in another state. If he went to visit her in CA, she’d go to her bedroom and ignore him the whole time.
She only saw him 17 days out of the whole first 6 months of their marriage and she never saw him at all once he became deathly ill. Never once in the last month of his life did she visit him and she wouldn’t return his phone calls or those of others made on his behalf.

Nor do I care to be characterized as being on "Team Birkhead" or "Team Virgie". I must be funny that way, but I'm on this thread for entirely different reasons.
Several postings back, I posted some information from Factweb.net., and you said the same thing about that website. For all I know, you may be 100% correct, so I am not disputing your word. I would like to know the source for all the anti-Marshall information. You say you do not support ANS, and I believe you, but is there some reason that you dislike the Marshall family so intensely?
