My friend’s son has a PhD and is an MD....a physician. He went to the finest schools here in the US. He’s around 32 years old. Because he chose academics, and chose to teach his specialty, neurology, he only makes around $70,000 a year. She said he and his wife are struggling, so she helps them out.

$70k? How much does his wife make? Struggling or living beyond their means? Paying student loans?

Choice should include the ability to do the math!

Remember when earning 70k was a huge paycheck? Ohhhh, he’s probably still paying off his student loans :(
