Mr Stern's lawyers appear to be again putting forth the legal argument Stern is Anna's 'legal husband' 'under Bahamian law' and entitled to survivor benefits of a 'widower'. He's posturing as party to the suit Thompson had against Anna and part and party to any property Anna owned.
The 'married' argument was bantered about, back in Feb. by Rales when they were on the 'psychological father' kick.
Stern's saying Larry 'could STAY' in (not OWN), the house in Studio City, brings me to hypothesis that 'widower/heir/executor' is Stern's next move and makes me wonder if there's not some backoffice deal that Larry is not already insisting on occupying the Horizons...
IMO In the meantime, he's also got two revenge side games going for distraction. Can't have the headlines solely on the inquest and the RXproblem --that won't do at all! so, he creates one wildfire, by going after Virgie via her attorney, and, another with the Thompsons. "Look at the pretty fires everyone - aren't they sumthin?"

Stern wants to rule the world by confidentiality agreements - invading everyone's privacy except his own it seems. After all, only ET has an 'exclusive contract' to invade Stern's 'privacy'. But if Stern wanted 'privacy' maybe he shouldn't have made the 'clown video' and maybe he should have kept his name off the rx bottles too.
Stern's last 12 years has been paps and flashbulbs. I bet he likes it. (And all the legal pandering does help to keep his mind off the 'daniel day' and 'florida days'). I wouldn't be surprised at all if Stern pulls a 'larry' and trys to crash the A-listers' red carpets Next New Year's Eve in Vegas - I wonder if Tommy Lee or Kid Rock will invite him - I'd bet Pam Anderson won't lolol Otoh, mebe he could go watch Kapoor licking necks....
I'd bet a nickel that Stern's 'getting off' on assembling a crack team of 'hired guns' to publically chomp on people for his own personal amusement. The strangest part of it all, is the hired guns, seem to seek him out. I guess there's no accounting for taste.
side note: - not quite sure where Stern is getting all this money for legal fees...it cost Virgie $40K for one single solitary motion (baby stay). By Jan 07, prior to ('bill fight') Feb court appearances, Opri stated in an interview with Birkhead and (King?Greta? i forget) that her bill was already (quoting) "almost $300,000" - and was still waving a cheek swab around in the air. Think Stern has personally broken the $2Mil barrier yet?
I think that Howard was going to file a license AFTER the marriage ceremony and Anna tore it up. There is an exception for marriages at sea which will allow it. Anna's former attorney, Michael Scott didn't like the marriage bit...but it served it's purpose...It created an ILLUSION of the All American family just happy as a lark...17 days after her son died. Geeez
