well, this nanny thing is confusing me and so is Mr. Lincoln Bain....if you go to mrcontroversy.com site, and go down about 3/4’s...under “howard and larry sitting in a tree’..it says,
“...Rita Cosby wrote a book claiming that Howard and Larry are lovers!!! Damn! I coulda told her that. In Fact Anna’s former nannies told that to several media groups months ago. The media was afraid to touch it but I am glad that its out!!!”
back at the top of the page, in the article about Licoln Bain (any relation to Michael Bain??), it says:
“...We were asked to provide Ms. Cosby some information for the nannies to support the book. She had not spoken with the nannies before she wrote the book. She admitted that. I asked her, so you are here to validate the book? She said yes among other things.
Thompson said that when they were initially contacted by Cosby, they told her that there were inconsistencies in the book and that they were not prepared to discuss anything on the telephone. “She then came to (The Bahamas) to speak with us. No one invited her here. She decided that she was coming to speak with us.”
Cosby told the AP that she was hoping to speak to the nannies while in The Bahamas.
“It was obvious that they were not readily accessible and we thought it was important to come down here and speak,” she said.
...the nannies said they have spoken with a private investigator who they believed was working for an attorney for Smith’s mother. But they never mentioned any alleged encounter between Birkhead and Stern, Thompson said in a meeting with several reporters in Nassau.”
The nannies have a habit of saying things and then taking them back once they’re in print. I don’t know what’s going on, either - I think they do know a lot of things, but want/need to be paid to divulge them, simply because they see others getting money for such stuff and they’re poor.
I think Bain was preying upon them, wanting to “represent them” - remember how Don Clark said he talked with the “same reps” of the nannies as those who were part of this Rita deal? He meant Bain and Thompson.
(No, I don’t believe Lincoln Bain is related to Mark Bain, one of the attorneys in the saga who was a talking head on NG or one of those programs - maybe he’s related to Leroy!)
