IMHO: If you have an attorney and make deals "on the side", with the enemy, you have the right to drop the case and all monies are due. I think this is what Opri was trying to tell us...without telling us. In other words, I think the underlying theme for Birkhead is that Howard and he made a deal and Opri's work didn't mean a thing in the end.

LB accidentally hired a *real* attorney - rather than a mouthpiece. The *conflict* was all for show - probably to fool Anna into thinking LB & HK$ were *fighting* over her and DL.

When she got suspicious and scared - it was too late!
