Did you read the NY Post article yesterday : Says the baby is staying put because of Virgie.... all I can take this to mean is she isn't too worried about the baby being with HKS or she would have allowed Larry to go forward Friday with custody and the baby would be in the process of being whisked out of Horions:

All parties agreed to postponing the custody issue. If that is the case then Larry is just as responsible for Dannielynn still being with HKS. Also who are these sources and isn’t all proceeding under a gag order. There’s a difference between joint custody and joint guardianship and if people are thinking that Larry can have that child over in the states in a matter of days then they are delusional. As for Larry if he was so concerned why didn’t he refuse the delay and decide to begin the custody fight immediately.

I blame HKS and the social services. The baby should have been removed long ago. After what the nannies said, HKS is a horror story character.

In keeping the baby at Horizons, yes... because she refuses to give up her bid for custody. I take it to mean she isn't all that concerned about the health and well-being of the baby still being there or she would be bending over backwards to help Larry instead of hinder Larry like she is doing right now...

Get mad at me all you want. I still blame HKS for Daniel AND ANS, but for keeping the baby at Horizons, now that we know who her father is, I place the blame squarely on Virgie.. HKS cannot turn the baby over to anyone until the court tells him to do so.

I think he was trying to avoid a full-on custody fight for his child with Virgie.... because he has always said he wanted her to be grandmother to his daughter... if they didn't settle this yesterday then his next course of action will be either a custody fight or give up and give the baby to Virgie to get her out of Horizons....

It sounds like most people here want Virgie to have the baby instead of Larry so I guess I'm on the wrong thread now --

I have been on the ANS threads from Day one agreeing with most of you; but now, just because I refuse to see Virgie as anything but a hinderance to getting this baby from HKS now I'm the bad person.. guess it's time for me to leave....

BTW I still think HKS stinks, just I happen to believe the living father should have full custody of his young child.... there is a whole lot that went down between Virgie and ANS and not all related to HKS I think that baby should be raised by a different family..

this kind of remark could well end him up with a guardian for DL’s financial interests.

You know, IMHO, I think a financial guardian for DL is the best way no matter WHO gets custody etc. A guardian who is beyond reproach and knows no one - not a recommendation from a past judge, attorney etc. One who will look into past transactions and take any needed action against whomever did the transactions.

HKS, however, gives me the creeps. This bonding issue is a con job. Considering the DNA evidence, one might make a case of kidnapping against him.

What!!! What do you mean everyone on this thread wants Virgie to have the baby? I’m not seeing that at all. I think everyone wants Virgie to be able to ensure that she has some legal standing in Dannielynn’s life for whatever reason. As much as it sucked with Stern she also has due process and deserves to be heard in court. You keep saying she wants to take the baby from Larry. We don’t know that..some places are reporting joint guardianship....with visits during the holiday..some are reporting full custody...some are reporting joint custody..etc etc. We have no idea what’s going on and if people are defending Virgie it’s because there is no proof regarding what is being said about Virgie wanting to take Dannielynn from Larry. Also like I said if Larry was so concerned then he would have pushed. Larry has fought hard to be where he’s at now. He is walking a tightrope between Stern and Virgie and I’m sure he’s hoping that the court will put some type of visitation in place for Virgie so he can tell Stern..hey man it wasn’t me the court said I had to do it.

Lin Wood’s method is to force settlement prior to depositions...it’s only the stubborn and the brave who hold out past depositions and into a jury trial.

I agree about Lin Wood. We have a lemon law suit thingy on Kia. We bought a new 2005 sportage and the AC hasn't worked right since we bought it. Freezes up. Have taken it back to dealer for repairs and they can not fix it. We hired an attorney to get "reparations" (LOL)The lost value according to a uninterested mechanic is $3800. They have only offered us $3200 (not counting legal fees) We told our attorney to go the whole darn way to court - we are in no hurry and won't settle unless it is what we want. (We will be getting rid of the car one way or the other - lemon!) Now it looks like the transmission is screwing up. We WILL go to court and then see what happens. If we get nada then so be it. At least the public will see what a piece of crap our car is. We had also had to take it back to dealer to fix about 10 other things too - minor ones they COULD fix.

Seems like a shell game or slight of hand to me. HKS diverts this daily media attention away from ANS's death and Daniel's death and all the many revelations about HKS and KE that have gone on in the media for the last couple of weeks, to LB is the father and ensuing custody battle of VA.

Shell game/slight of hand-look what Virgie is doing. Isn't she awful to pursue custody against LB? etc.,etc., etc.- And all the media outlets are discussing the custody battle. The public spotlight is off HKS and now looking at and discussing this VA vs. LB matter.

In the meantime: DWS inquest to resume on May 22, transition period for DL of 2-4 weeks with LB visiting Horizons, nothing to be done about getting HKS out of Horizons for now, public auction for diaries stopped (even though didn't stop original sales on eBay),Lin Wood entered, Big League PI hired, and defamation lawsuit against OQ filed.

If not for the nannies' interviews being published yesterday, sending out a big reminder as to whom they should really be focusing on (HKS/KE-IMHO) - the banter over how awful VA is or is not -would be the thing dominating the ANS news this week.

LARRY Birkhead had a great week. Not only did DNA tests prove he's the father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn, but he partied like a rock star with a gaggle of gorgeous women.

Our spy reports Birkhead was out at several clubs around Grand Bahama Island "in between court sessions" and was the center of the ladies' attention.

"He was having the time of his life," our source said. "And loved the attention." Up next for Birkhead: a custody battle over the potentially rich baby girl with Dannielyn's maternal grandmother, Virgie Arthur.

Again, we old, savvy grandmothers admonish Larry not to “BLOW IT”.

He should enjoy every victory -but it would have been more genteel to have invited Virgie out for dinner. He is unwittingly showing the “Hollywood” side of his life experience - not that there’s anything wrong with that.

OTOH when he becomes a full-time employed, full-time daddy these bachelor days will be but faded memories. It’s gonna be tough on him - hope his family is really, really, supportive.

If you look at just the timeline of events (the reality) that occurred in the 4 month period of Sep 2006 through Dec 2006, you realize what a horrible and unhealthy environment that would have been for DL. And all had a hand in it (Anna, Howard, and Dr. KE - 3 nut jobs).

Reality:

LB paternity; Daniel’s death; pending inquest; drug addict; lots of drugs ordered, administered, taken; no money; eviction notice/summons; Callenders lawsuit; lies

Fantasy (for the public):

Pics of Anna, Daniel and DL; Howard is the father; commitment ceremony; happy family

DL now has a chance. Sweet Daniel doesn’t.

When you're young and good-looking like Larry is, the women are probably out there chasing him. Hopefully, he'll look for a NICE one and not another Anna type... How he escaped marriage to this point is beyond me...
