We all knew LB to be DL’s father and wanted to believe he was a ‘good guy’ - mislead or misguided - there are very few “Larry Lovers” left...
You make some pertinent observations.
If she used drugs to kill pain, and she had conscience under it all, I”m thinking she would not be endangering her baby by infusing massive amounts of drugs while in hospital. Yet, she is also drugged in the “clown” video. Point one.
IMO, she was never mentally unstable. She was a grifter, and babes were her ticket to money and fame when the opportunity arose. You want to forgive her for her bad choices, and her life. Hey, I’ve had a harsh life and I didn’t end up like her. She was a sleaze, and while it lasted, a happy, drugged sleaze.
All sorts of people can be sweet and down to earth. It tells us nothing about motivation and the end results. Point two.
ANS was nothing like Marilyn. Marilyn was totally vulnerable and passive and clueless. Anna gave as good as she got. Btw, I don’t think Hef is a “nice man” either. You’re kidding, right?
The last photo proves nothing about her bonding with
DL. It just shows her smiling like she did on dozens of occasions. Considering that she was a drug addict, I can guarantee you she wasn’t giving a damn about the baby or her son.

Hey, I would like it too. But it’s so venal and sick. Are you justifying her bad choices? Seriously, should any of this be a consideration for victim of the year? She chose stuff that may or may not have been her undoing. Her undoing was her venality and lack of conscience and hanging out with a bad crowd that she loves, a crowd who ate her alive, in th end. And only because she didn’t get there first.
As for anything abot HKS, yes, you are excusing him. Read up about psychopaths, experience one, and then get back to me.
YOur entire post is an apologia for people who sure as hell don’t deserve it. Go talk to your local victim and then get back to me. I have read the nannies tape. It just strengthens my belief that HKS is a psychopath and that, by this time, ANS was in his power. One psycho lost to another. Happens all the time.

I wasn’t “defending” anyone. Just don’t agree with you that Anna was a psychopath. She had psychopathic traits for sure, but if I were to make a professional dx, that wouldn’t be the primary personality d/o I would dx. Howie, absolutely. AEB: when Daniel died, Anna was suicidal. When Anna died, Howie got on the phone to make money through media deals.
I was trying to say that I thought Anna had some good traits along with her flaws. OK, maybe I was overreaching in my comparison to Marilyn, however I believe that had Anna gotten some better guidance when she got to Hollywood, she may have turned out better than she did. But she was caught by a psychopath who found her easy to manipulate due to her own character flaws.
I wasn’t kidding about Hugh Hefner, no, why would I? That post was meant to add to the discussion.
Anna was a train wreck waiting to happen, but there was also something strangely endearing about her in her calmer moments. I can see where Daniel got his sweetness. Furthermore, the picture of the three of them speaks volumes to me. I guess it doesn’t speak the same to you. Maybe some decent writer will be able to capture the whole picture of Anna in a biography one day.
We don’t have to agree and I sure don’t want to argue; it’s too hot and everything in my garden is wilting under the 100 degree heat. I keep going out there to water and then back into my air-conditioned den with my two little monsters, AKA cats. Stay cool:)
It occurred to me that not only was O’Quinn asking for a fight, but also this book by Rita is another way of drawing HKS and LB into depositions. I hope they do file lawsuits and then have to face JOQ in a courtroom. Wouldn’t that be incredibly satisfying?
I’ve been reading Crimelibrary.com where a poster named Canadian Cutie has detailed what she’s read in the book (hers was shipped early by mistake). I think we’ll have to wait til Tuesday to answer your question. But it is the real question we all have on our minds, isn’t it?
I really feel sorry for the baby. I have said I didn't like LB, but I thought he should have custody of Dannilynn since he was the biological father, but I've changed my mind. Making a baby does not make a good father, and the same is true about women carrying babies...it doesn't make them a good mother! The more I see and hear about him, the more convinced I am he is not good father material. His continuing association with HKS makes no sense at all, and people have a right to be suspicious of their motives. I'm afraid HKS and LB may have plans to pursue the Marshall millions for their own greed. I don't wish the baby any harm, but I don't believe ANS was entitled to another penny of Marshall's money. He overpaid her for what little time she spent with him as it was. For Ron Rale to say 'Mr. Marshall was the love of AN's life' is an insult to any sane person's intelligence! It also proves Mr. Rale is careless with the truth! Mr. Marshall's nurses testified she did not live with him and would not visit him when he was dying. She allegedly brought someone to Texas with her and they tried to coerce Mr. Marshall saying on tape he wanted her to have half his fortune, and he never said it. Her aunt, who lived in the guest house on the ranch Marshall bought AN, said that on Christmas Day AN tried to get Mr. Marshall on tape saying he wanted her to inherit half his fortune, and he would never say it. Maybe the old man wasn't as senile as he appeared to be.

I don't think she gives a damn about the money and never did. She's not about to change her lifestyle for a rat race. But someone HONEST & TRUSTWORTHY should be in charge and the only person who fits that criteria is Virgie.
I doubt that ANYTHING will ever come of the Marshall estate IN ANNA's FAVOR.
