I wasn’t “defending” anyone. Just don’t agree with you that Anna was a psychopath. She had psychopathic traits for sure, but if I were to make a professional dx, that wouldn’t be the primary personality d/o I would dx. Howie, absolutely. AEB: when Daniel died, Anna was suicidal. When Anna died, Howie got on the phone to make money through media deals.
I was trying to say that I thought Anna had some good traits along with her flaws. OK, maybe I was overreaching in my comparison to Marilyn, however I believe that had Anna gotten some better guidance when she got to Hollywood, she may have turned out better than she did. But she was caught by a psychopath who found her easy to manipulate due to her own character flaws.
I wasn’t kidding about Hugh Hefner, no, why would I? That post was meant to add to the discussion.
Anna was a train wreck waiting to happen, but there was also something strangely endearing about her in her calmer moments. I can see where Daniel got his sweetness. Furthermore, the picture of the three of them speaks volumes to me. I guess it doesn’t speak the same to you. Maybe some decent writer will be able to capture the whole picture of Anna in a biography one day.
We don’t have to agree and I sure don’t want to argue; it’s too hot and everything in my garden is wilting under the 100 degree heat. I keep going out there to water and then back into my air-conditioned den with my two little monsters, AKA cats. Stay cool:)
I do apologise. Yeah, there was a psycho in my life who did inspeakable damage to a lot of people. Think I’ll back out of the discussion for a while.
