Heh, we’ve all tried to figure out what this rash is. I’ve driven everyone nuts talking about it. Several here have had a similar one - and stlnative said her mother had it forever.
I don’t even make a stab at what it is, because I’ve had so much advice and nothing really concrete on *what* it is or even what to call it. Yes, mine is *only* on the backs/tops of my hands and fingers.
When the itching starts in the thick skin of the palms, I just about go berserk, because nothing can make that stop. It doesn’t happen very often, thank goodness. And yes, it’s totally stress-related. But then, so is everything that happens to me these days.
It is very obvious, tho - tax time made it flare up - things like that. What really makes me mad is that it dies down, as if it’s going away, then comes back really hard just as I think I can forget about it.
I just use hydrocortisone cream on it and have finally accepted the fact that it’s never going to go away. The least little bump also aggravates it. Can’t keep the cream on because I need to wash my hands a lot. And it gets all over everything.
One of the cortisones is a cream - that’s my heavy-duty one. Then one is a gel - it’s softer, but it peels off like rubber cement and I don’t like that. It feels strange and looks even stranger.
Last week, I had decided I would go over to Walgreen’s (which is the only store I can get to) and find some Dermoplast spray. Well, I came home with Lanacaine spray, instead, because it was $3 cheaper, which is very important to me.
I like it a lot. It just doesn’t last as long as the other two things, but I don’t have to rub it on or keep irritating the skin, like I do with the others. Unfortunately, it’s another cortisone thing that you’re not supposed use more than 3 times per day.
yup, and the 'taxi driver's license' and chauffering girls as their pimp, cracked me up - that was probably the best line in the episode ! LOL
My take on it: he’s evil and she’s a sack full of wildcats. So, maybe she’ll just drive him up the wall, which would be *some* justice in this ole world.

I agree! And I just hope she’s stays strong enough to KEEP ON COMING for HKS! I know she’s strong enough mentally, I just want her to stay strong enough physically! Personally, I didn’t give her much thought or credit in the beginning of this sad, sad saga, but now I completely ADMIRE her, because I would be doing the same things she is doing if my child and one of my grandchildren had DIED under the same bizarre circumstances that Anna and Daniel died under! I would not sleep or LET IT GO until I got justice and KNEW that my granddaughter was safe! I don’t understand why some people find that hard to understand, or even worse, consider that a reason to admonish her and call her names! To ME, that makes no sense whatsoever!! Anna’s tender moments kissing and cradling baby Dannielynn for the new Anna Nicole biopic are captured exclusively by ET!
It’s perhaps the most tender moment that can be captured on film: that special bond between a mother and her newborn baby.
That magic is being recreated for the new ANNA NICOLE SMITH movie — currently in production for release later this year — with pop singer and former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant WILLA FORD in the title role.
Of course, a little movie magic is being applied to the intimate scenes between Anna and her baby. In fact, baby DANNIELYNN isn’t a girl at all — she’s a boy!
“It’s a boy! We’re faking it!” his mom jokes to ET.
Baby PIERCE, who is just 11 weeks old (23 inches long and 13 pounds, for those keeping score), is playing Dannielynn — and the casting may owe itself to his blonde-haired, blue-eyed mom’s slight resemblance to Anna Nicole.
“That may have had something to do with it; the blonde [hair], blue eyes,” she says, adding with a laugh, “His first part — in drag. It’s something fun to look back on for him.”
Work rules are very strict for babies on movie sets, and little Pierce can only work a total of two hours — with only 20 minutes of actual time before the camera. There also needs to be a registered nurse and a welfare worker on the set to make sure all the rules are being followed properly.

I think maybe I lucked out - knock on wood. It started as a little dry cough and a throat tickle on Friday overnight into Saturday morning.
Then, all day Sat it kept getting just a little worse - the most exasperating part being that throat aggravation that just couldn’t be calmed. And that made the cough worse and worse and then “wet” instead of dry.
THEN, I watched the Barbaro documentary, for which I had saved up all my Derby tears till the race was over, and just bawled my eyes out - which made my nose run. As soon as that started, it felt like an all-out head cold.
I was already feeling feverish, so I started some Airborne that afternoon. I do think it helped a bunch. I only had 2 daytime ones and a bunch of sleepy-time ones that don’t make me sleepy, but you can’t take them every 4 hours like the others.
Anyway, all day Sunday and all day Monday, I was m-i-s-e-r-a-b-l-e. Nose completely stopped up. Sinus headache. Couldn’t hold my head up - that’s why I couldn’t post. All I wanted to do was lie down. Wasn’t sleepy, just weak. Also hot, even with A/C going full blast. Just couldn’t ever get comfy.
Then sometime this evening, Tuesday, it all sort of went away, except for this blasted cough, which just erupts without warning.
I’m sorry, but that is CREEPY that the baby’s name is PIERCE! AND, that they say it’s his first role in DRAG! Those kinds of coincidents just give me the creeps! Speaking of which, my wallet was STOLEN out of my purse in a WalMart Neighborhood Market store last night, and there was a witness. When the policeman arrived, he spoke to the witness and asked for her Driver’s License and took some information. Later, when I was giving him information for the police report he asked for my information. When I told him my birth date, he laughed and stated ‘that is really weird’. Then he told me that my birthdate was the same as his, AND the same as the witness’s birthdate! And we were all ONE year apart! So, our birthdates were 11/3/65, 11/3/66, and 11/3/67!! What are the chances!! That was really bizarre to me!

I was never sick - for years and years, decades. Then got this asthma-like condition with my life upheaval and have been disabled, or chronically ill and fragile ever since. Three years - and no money, no doctor, no medicine. I’m starting from scratch on how to treat things myself, since I never had them before - not even colds.
But one thing I *do* have is Simply Saline, the little can of spray saltwater that does what you’ve suggested. I use it in the shower. I couldn’t make myself use it when my nose was so stopped up these past 3-4 days, tho.
Because I have such a hard time breathing just normally, when my nose is also stopped up, I go into panic mode, which makes it even worse. I’m getting the tiniest amount of air. And it just seems to be that putting more water up my nose, even knowing it will drain right back out, is a scary proposition to me, for that short period of time that I can’t be inhaling through my nose or even just one side of it.
Hope that makes sense. The rest of the time, I do think it’s making a difference for me on a regular basis. Thanks again!

She explained one time that’s how she gets out of lying to a mother who has an ugly baby.
That little baby is downright homely and looks *nothing* like Dannielynn did. How they picked him for the role is beyond me.

Yes, and if it wasn’t MY WALLET that was stolen, I would have probably been able to appreciate the whole ‘cosmic’ strangeness of it, but since it WAS my wallet, I was just pissed OFF! And, I still am, although, I do find that little tidbit of information bizarre, none the less! LOL!

No, sadly, the PERP was not stopped by the cop. There was just a witness that saw it happen. Luckily, the perp didn’t get much though, just my debit card and DL and library card and blockbuster card. Still, it’s a BIG inconvenience, to say the least, AND I believe an employee of WalMart was responsible for the theft, since my debit card ‘miraculously reappeared’ this morning in an empty shopping cart, just my debit card, not my wallet and the other contents. I just think that the person responsible was THERE when the policemen took the information and it was noted that there were seveal video cameras in the area that it happened. I think that is why my debit card mysteriously appeared ‘out of nowhere’ this morning before 7 AM! I think the person responsible might work there and be afraid of security or the police viewing the tapes. But I am going to insist that the tapes are viewed by WalMart security AND the police to make sure that an employee is not responsible for it!!

I’m not trying to be accusatory, but I just feel that the person who took my wallet became aware of the video tapes and got worried, which is why my debit card miraculously appeared this morning (in the bottom of a shopping cart, not in my wallet, just by itself). Not to mention, the manager made a point to say that there were ‘no charges made to the card’. HOW could he know that? I guess he could probably find out if there were charges from his store, but HOW could he know that there were NO CHARGES made to my card? The whole thing was weird and I called the police officer who took the report to tell him what the ‘manager’ this morning told me, so I guess I’ll see what happens.

TrimSpa Launches First Post-Anna Nicole Ads Over 200 TrimSpa customers will promote the company's weight loss products. It's the company's first national ad campaign since the death of spokeswoman Anna Nicole Smith.
"Who will inspire you" uses actual customers in a new :30 spot. DVR users can pause on each TrimSpa customer to see before and after pictures.
TrimSpa is calling the after pictures "after after" because they were taken later than the 12 week challenge period. The company paid out $1.5 million to the FTC earlier this year over controversial claims about customers' weight loss. The FTC accused TrimSpa of not having enough scientific evidence to back up its claims that the ingredient Hoodia gordonii allows customers to lose a large amount of weight.
