Thread Number 3
It was a body double for Willa Ford in the Anna movie. Don’t ask me why. Maybe she didn’t want the liability that would attach, lol.
I’m not even sure it was the Studio City house, but I know the pigsty description was used for the apartment she had before that.
I just loved that one line, especially, in the transcript I read ... “What does Stern have on you, son?”
I could just hear her saying that, in my mind.
Lies and slander about Virgie Arthur. Yet Bonnie Sterns declaration over our dead body received little attention.
Amazing isnt it. Hollyweird bias against Texans (think GWB) and in favor of a porno candy madam from CA. Also elitism - attorney(HK$) and psychiatrist(KE) versus cop(VA).
Sorry, JMHO, I know it’s not PC, but could the above phenomenon also reflect increasing media bias against all things that are not, in modern parlance, “metro-sexual”?
Carroll O'Connor's son lived close to him and his daughter-in-law was on the side of the parents. Yet he failed to get his son away from drug dealer. Jeb Bush has problems with a daughter, and I cannot blame him.
I have personal knowledge of good parents who tried to help their child but failed even tough the child was in the same city. Sad.
“I have personal knowledge of good parents who tried to help their child but failed even tough the child was in the same city. Sad”
It is so sadly true. There are so many factors and as one’s child gets older, and more able to be entitled to being viewed as “adult” by all social agencies, courts, and themselves, there are staggering legal, intrapsychic and social obstacles to reaching them. It would be a particularly formidable task if the child is bipolar, given to distorting things various ways at various times and has fallen in with influential and “professional” people with their own exploitative agendas.
Thanks - nope, I’m not eligible for anything, because of the value of my assets and I won’t sign them over.
Luckily, it’s not indoor mold that bothers me - *just* outdoor, which is everywhere. The kind you have is toxic, so you will have to have something done about it.
There is a product called DampRid that you can buy anywhere, about $3. It’s a little plastic tub of moisture-absorbing crystals that you can put in your closets and bathrooms or other humid areas. I had it in all my closets in my older houses. It works!
I’ve been mesmerized by those infomercials for the ionic air cleaners, such as the one by the Oreck vacuum guy. Would love to have one - but obviously can’t afford it.
So, I’ve been checking out some of those small tower units at my only store, where I’m forced to buy everything except groceries - a Walgreen’s. They have 5-6 models, from $40 to $200. The thing about it is, how in the world would I know if it’s really exchanging old air for good air?
Everytime I think “ok, this time I’ll use part of a bonus check to go buy one of those,” I then go into a funk thinking it’s a hoax or scam and I put the money back in my safe deposit drawer or buy some other “big ticket” item I’ve been waiting for till I have the money - maybe a Swiffer mop or a bigger plastic storage box for my holiday decorations (I actually have some, even some cute things, $1-2 each, bought once each of my 3 years in hell - compared to a warehouse full that I can’t get to) - things like that.
Microwave is obviously on the list, but I have no way to get one here, or to move my old one, which is a huge Amana, very heavy. I try to just put on blinders and go about my days - the only way I’m still alive is because I talked myself out of “wanting” anything.
“The price of honey ...” - lol, I’m hearing Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Taxi in the background ... “a taste of honey ... (hu-u-nny) ... (trumpet riffs) ... a taste much sweeter ... than wine.”
What’s also scary are the many meth users who *aren’t* yet to the bottom reaches. They are legion - and they are everywhere, actually doing “super” jobs and getting things done.
They’re like manic-depressives on a permanent manic cycle. Way more of those than the ones who have finally encountered problems. Because they’re such overachievers, bosses are hard-pressed to do anything about them.
I’ve sponsored a few in AA and they’re very hard to help with sobriety (”clean of drugs”, iow). They’ll all get to the same end/bottom eventually, but society as it is today encourages and rewards their behaviors, rather than letting the chips fall where they may.
While Anna’s is a much different story, downers and painkillers, the leeway she was given because of money or the “hint” of money is flabbergasting.
People who base *everything* in life on money are nearly impossible to reason with.
It’s hard to turn away from something that might promise your child a life free of want.
Best of luck to you today (although I realize you are already there)! I don’t envy you one iota.
*Asked and answered* previously, lol. Yes, it would, but I won’t do what they ask, because it would take away everything I have left, which is very little but of extreme importance.
I have lots of friends who think nothing of having plastic surgery in Mexico or other types of medical treatment. You couldn’t pay me a $1,000,000 to do that!
Some day Dannielynn will ask, "Daddy, what did you do to the man who killed Mommy and Daniel?"
Yes, thank you so much! Here’s a link to Greta’s:

Go to Walmart and buy yourself an Ionic Pro. They have 2 models that are exactly like the Sharper Image models. One is about $100 and the other large one is about $150.00.
I have the smaller version of the Ionic Pro. They do help some but don’t expect them to be a full problem solver.
Also you should know that they produce a “smell” (the ions) that smells like breathing the air in the middle of the woods. It is a fresh outdoor “in the woods” smell.
The Oreck model you see on TV has a expensive filter that must be replaced in it. I believe it is a carbon filter.
The Ionic Pro models have no filters and the metal bands (collectors) can be washed easily. The only thing is after you wash it, it must be fully and completely dry before you put back in the Ionic Pro cleaner and turn it on.(You have to make sure there is no water hiding in the base of the metal bands - I use my hair dryer to on it to make sure I am getting all the areas dry before putting back in the machine)
I have had other models before (Radio Shack has them also). The Radio Shack ones I had in the past did not have a wire cleaner in them and they became useless once the wires got too dirty. The Ionic Pro one has a built in wire cleaner on them.
They work on static electricity... you have metal bands on the removable washable collector and the internal thin wires make the static. So what ever machine you get it must have some form of method to clean the metal wires inside. (something the old Radio Shack models did not have) Again the Ionic Pro has the built in wire cleaner you just lift up and down and it drags up and down the metal wire and cleans it.
On another note... I also have the top of the line full house air cleaner on my air handler in my house, Trane/American Standard puts it out - it was installed in Oct 06. It does not get everything but it helps. The filter on it is a 3 stage. We had to have a new heating/cooling system put in last Oct and we shelled out the extra $750 for the whole house air cleaner. (we nearly got it a wholesale cost - so prices vary - the highest estimate we got was $1500 for the same exact cleaner but it was $1500 through a different installer)

Trane and American Standard are the same company and they have the same exact air cleaners but they have different names on them. This model is fully washable and does not need replacement filters to be purchased for it. I have to clean it about 3 months.
The point is they help... but they won’t get rid of everything even if you have a full house system like I have.
The Ionic Pro is noiseless unless it is time to clean it then it makes a crackling noise. It sits about 2 feet from the side of my bed.
Oh, yeah, lol. “Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match ...”
*The little ole matchmaker Howie.* Such a shadkhen, but more of a yenta!
Hee hee - but he’s pen pals with the Sultan of Brunei! Would love to know *howie* thinks he can get in without the Buxom One!
(PS - no way the Cracker could make it to Dubai. HKS will have to trade UP - somehowie.)
Ionic Pro website (they cost less at Walmart)
http://www.ionicpro.com (Ionic Pro) (smallest model is under $100 at Walmart - the next size up at Walmart is about $150 - Walmart has the full black models but Ionic Pro makes more advanced models that are also on their website)
