AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2266) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 7, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 04/07/2007 3:32:11 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

Globull warming has struck.

Measureable snowfall in Northern Virginia for the first time in 17 years. There is a total of 0.3" on the deck; in 1990, it snowed 1.1". All raised surfaces are white. (NWSFO Sterling, officially, says the snowfall is a "trace", meaning less than 0.05", but maybe that's at the airport...) Algore--wish to explain this?

One of those "fringe" scientists who isn't "with the program", one who might actually know a thing or two about the subject, Dr. Gray--who is probably the leading hurricane climatologist in the world--called Algore a "gross alarmist". More to the point, Dr. Gray also said: He's one of these guys that preaches the end of the world type of things. I think he's doing a great disservice and he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Certainly, looking out the window and seeing white everywhere as the middle of April looms, yes, I agree, Algore doesn't know what he's talking about.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I was amazed at the variety of Peeps now.

They have them in all colors, sizes, shapes!!

They're not the little chickies of old anymore.

Peeps have been supersized :))

My very favorite candy...period....but they only sell it at Easter time...

..bunny basket eggs....or hide & seek eggs.

Sometimes they're in a bag all together...

..Sometimes they're individually wrapped for hide and seek.

They have the thin candy shell, pastel colors, over a harder marshmallow....not the marshmallow consistency of hot chocolate marshmallows.

I love that candy....LOVE IT!

I checked at Walgreens the other day....and they were sold out!....no more bunny basket eggs for me until next year ....:(

Since we did church last night, we slept in (until 7 AM) and then had a light breakfast and went to my sister's for brunch.

It is COLD. We are now resting and hubby is watching the old "Jesus of Nazareth" mini-series on TV. It is our favorite of all of the movies about Christ.

However, finding inspirational movies this week has been very difficult. I finally went to Amazon and ordered the following DVD's:

Jesus of Nazareth
The Ten Commandments
The Gospel of John
King of Kings
The Greatest Story Ever Told

All for $91!! And free shipping and no sales tax! As far as I am concerned it is a great bargain.

Next I am going to work on Christmas:

White Christmas
The Bells of St. Mary's
Going My Way
The Bishop's Wife
A Christmas Story
Heidi (with Shirley Temple)

Any suggestions for Chirstmas movies would be greatly appreciated.

I played for church on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and last night for Easter Vigil................then played for 2 more Masses this morning. I wanted to go once just for me......not playing organ or anything...........so I went to the sunrise Mass at 5:45 this a.m., with Ev & Katie. The first half was indoors; the 2nd half was outside, around a (smallish) bonfire. (It was too cold to be out for the whole thing.)

I'm really glad I went; it was a "pared down" mass, no music, no pomp & cirumstance, just some people (150 or so) who wanted to experience something a little different.

Then I played/sang for the other 2 Masses, then we had a brunch here for a few relatives & friends, now I am ready for a nap.

LOL, Jim my cousin dropped in to dinner this afternoon. Her dad bought all the girls flowers. The girls did not have the heart to tell him they were grave bouquets.

Good choices, Guennie! I went back and added Ben-Hur AND The Robe to my order! A plus with The Robe is seeing Richard Burton before Liz and the booze got to him. He was really a magnetic young man, wasn’t he? Such a shame how his life turned out.

Well, you can cut those flowers down and rearrange them in vases.

I am normally not fond of gladiolis because in our part of the country they are almost exclusively used in funeral arrangements. However, I have seen them mixed with other flowers in large bouquets and they add a nice structural element which no other flower can do.

Good thing everyone kept their mouths shut! LOL!

The Bush family Easter dinner included fire-glazed ham, green chili cheese grits souffle, roasted orange molasses sweet potatoes, roasted asparagus, coconut cake and ice cream

With all that other stuff in that dish, can it really still be called "grits?"

This is from Neets:

Kay,

So brave, so selfless, so loving and giving. All of the things I can only IMAGINE being.

God has blessed each and everyone of us who have come to know you through these years, a thousand times over.

I know I shouldn't but my cheeks are drenched and my eyes burn with selfish tears of sorrow.

I pray that God gives you peace and comfort and that He can take the pain away.

I cannot express how PROUD and HUMBLED and HONORED I am to be able to call you "friend".

I'll love you and remember you forever and always, until the end of time.

"The Robe"......

I have such great memories of watching that with my Grandma. I just told my sister tonight that I finally had to order the VHS myself years ago, because they never were playing it on the cable channels.

Happy Easter, everyone!

I saw it when I was a kid....left a lasting impression.....Richard Burton, Victor Mature, Debra Paget

Another movie I end up crying through every time I watch...

A Tree Grows In Brooklyn....

Oh my goodness.....my heart breaks every time....this movie is so wonderful.

My son met with his Christian singles group yesterday to watch Ben-Hur.

I love that movie....the end wrings tears of joy every time.

Another great movie in my personal collection...A Man For All Seasons...about Henry VIII & Thomas More......more tears.

It wasn't Debra Paget....it was Jean Simmons...
..I think Debra Paget was in Demetrius and the Gladiator..with Victor Mature.

Just finished watching Wee Willie Winkie.

I bawled like a baby during Victor McLaughlin's death scene.

BTW Fox News is having a show on from 9-10 on The Passion, Fact & Fiction, I am usually weary of any shows of this nature especially around this time of year, but Lauren Green is hosting this and the Fr. who is always on Fox News doing analyze is a part of the show, Might be worth watching.

I haven't seen Lauren for some time. I did not know they had made her their religious correspondent.

I remember from her stint on Fox & FRiends that she was one of very strong faith. I think she is the real deal too.
