Like every devoted mother bird, Pippa the silver crested cockatoo is ready to defend her clutch of eggs to the death.
Sadly for her, however, they will never hatch. For Pippa has adopted a bowl containing 20 Cadbury's Creme Eggs, which her owner Geoff Grewcock had intended to hand to friends and family over Easter. The 17-year-old bird squawks and flaps whenever anyone approaches. "When I first saw her perched there I thought it was hilarious but now I'm a bit worried about her," he said at his home in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

Yeah. Lots of times animals get along better under the supervision of good people.

He’s cool. He played a part in a Monty Python movie and stole the scene.

Hi CG, good to see you around.

Same here. I don’t get to freep much. Changed jobs in Oct 05 and now I spend most of my time away from my office. Weekends are usually too busy. Too cold to mow the grass this morning.
How have you been?

Been pretty good. Crazy weather here, snow the last three weekends.
Hope to see you back soon.

It’s 45 F here, with an expected high of 54. I’m going to do some grading if I can summon the gumption; if not, I’ll feed my Diablo II addiction.

When I was a kid, we had a bullpoo (cute little mix). The dog had a little squeaky toy - a little red rubber boot. She began thinking the boot was her puppy. She even got milk. If I remember right, we had to “wean her off” the boot. Strange, indeed.

She is sitting there waiting for babies to hatch, that aren’t going to happen. She wants to be a momma. If she isn’t too old, I would get her a mate.
